Trying to design a custom voltron commander, with a sort of 'crime family' vibe to it. Any input is appreciated.
Edit: Decided to make the upkeep slightly easier to use, while switching the card draw damage trigger to exile the top card of that player's library, because I didn't feel the card was 'red' enough, and adding to the crime family feel.
First, the typeline is very crowded. I'd drop Noble since its the type with pretty much no game synergies so all you lose by removing it is a little flavor.
Second, Surveil then Connive is a huge amount of filter/graveyard filling to be repeatable anytime at that activation cost. I'd make it sorcery speed and once per turn, or just an upkeep trigger.
I'd also suggest rephrasing the second line as its unclear if discard the card prevents just the life gain or when whole drain effect.
