Blueprint Cipher2 Artifact
When Blueprint Cipher enters the battlefield, you may exile a nonlegendary creature card with a converted mana cost 5 or less from your hand or any revealed zone.
Whenever a source you control would become or create a copy of a creature or creature card, you may have it copy the card exiled with Blueprint Cipher.
The Fractured Continuum2 Artifact
If a source you control would become a copy or create a copy of a creature or creature card this turn, you may have it copy a legendary creature card revealed from your hand or in any of your revealed zones. If you do, that copy gains, "Whenever this permanent becomes the target of a spell or ability, sacrifice it.".
Alchemist's CentrifugeCCC Enchantment
When Alchemist's Centrifuge enters the battlefield, you may exile an artifact creature card from your hand.
Whenever a source you control would become a copy of a creature or creature card, you may have it copy the card exiled with Alchemist's Centrifuge. If you do, return Alchemist's Centrifuge and the exiled card to your hand, then exile a card at random from your hand.
Was on the ropes here for the form that this wants to take. The version 1 is the very first form of the concept that I had thought to do. Then naturally began brainstorming over more open forms, but questioning that they are as healthy (preserving the aspect of challenge and continuance of the game), despite being more interactive. With version one being the only one with out extra nonsense it is far and away the best one. Even considering the nonsense text as functional the first version is the best as simplicity is usually favored.
Without a mana cost I can't speak to the balance but I would venture to say this should probably colored. Either blue or green, maybe both. Further, if you wanted to add functionality it would also effect the opponent's clones. Finally, there should be a debate on the value of "may" here. May is a significant power boost that probably isn't needed. If you're using this card you should want to use it. So the may adds unnecessary power that can be cut out for a reduction in cost.
After my own deliberations, I've narrowed it down to that this does not want to be able to replace copies of effects, only ETB or becomes a copy effects.
That being said, there was more extra nonsense still, even in the first one.
After some long deliberations, I've decided the caps that need to go on this involve including clauses of "nonlegendary, and CMC 5 or less". However, I then realized the card I had now created didn't enable me to do what initially inspired this archtype (enabling me to cache a copy of Inkwell Leviathan).
I've been pondering lots of variants for the effect already, one is a land for legendary creatures only that enables this effect until end of turn.
I had considered splitting off the first effect for CMC exactly five (exile a card from your hand), and then limiting the first to CMC 4 or less (exile a card from any revealed zone). Just decided to blend the two, and decided that allowing a card from any revealed zone doesn't have enough domain influence to mean enough. The only big benefit is the same counter-defense (self-discard vs. power discard).
The third is now basically Tinker on this archtype, at the same cost.
More on this later.

Why not "As ~this~ enters the battlefield?" That's how other cards like this are templated and you don't waste a card if it gets countered.
