Crush from the Distance3 Enchantment — Aura
Enchant permanent
Enchanted permanent has shroud. If enchanted permanent is a creature, it can't attack or block.
Each other permanent has protection from enchanted permanent. I can't stress enough the importance of humbleness. Make little of yourself to lift other up to equality. It's only the bitter fool that provokes great powers to pull them back down to earth with everyone else.
Was originally going to make this for only creatures. Was also going to do a tap-down effect instead of activated and triggered ability. [If-when ability, if it's not tapped, tap it. It doesn't untap during its controllers next untap step.] Then thought up something more creative and more along the lines of the utility one would hope for (it not being able to target other permanents).
Probably wants to just be an enchantment-aura with flash rather than an instant because instants aren't permanents by definition
Can you explain the name of the card and how it relates to the flavor of "Trapped in a Mime House?" The name sounds a lot like some kind of violent murder spell even though all it does is bubble the permanent.
It's probably okay that this is colorless, but it could easily be white.
Certainly, not sure where I was going with that Instant bit.
I don't think it really needs flash either, to clarify, with that transition.
I did kind of envision it as a 'Power of God'. I wasn't really comfortable placing it in white though, even though that was the original aspiration, for much cheaper.
This is a really neat design. While the flavor was lost on me initially, that name isn't really doing it, your explanation has a lot of support in media. Though you probably want to find a better name. Cowed by Magisty would more appropriately capture the flavor you're going for. Or something like Awed by Infinity.
As for functionality, the fact that the Enchanted permanent still has and can still use abilities means that this does very little to noncreatures. At the very least it should shut down activated abilities. Possibly even remove all abilities. Though it might have to increase in cost if it does that.
It doesn't say much for a purported removal spell if its best use is putting it on my own artifacts and enchantments to give them shroud.
Put it on my own Platinum Angel, now it can't be forced into combat.
Enchanted permanent loses all other abilities and has shroud.
That kinda waters down the uniqueness and invalidates the utility of the protection ability though.
It's still doing a lot and has great utility. It doesn't really need to be universally effective when it's capturing a large majority of some 75% effectiveness among the diversity of content. This make a soft lock out of it in ways and preserves interactivity and aspect of challenge, which of course is a responsibility of development, and also core-essential the fun of the game.

I saw it well-encapsulated as an Eldrazi force.
