Epitome's Bailiwick
Legendary Land
Changeling
Epitome's Bailiwick enters the battlefield tapped as a copy of target land except its name is ~ and it is legendary.
1. A land can’t have creature types unless it is tribal (observe how cards like nameless inversion are tribal).
2. Tribal land seems like a potential for problem as most tribal search cards also fetches for land.
3. The copying ability removes changeling as it doesn’t specifically designate that it keeps that ability. Was that intentional?
4. Having too many lands that copy other lands probably isn’t too healthy for the game, even though I appreciate that the design here doesn’t allow for a “20-post” deck.
A legendary Vesuva is perfectly reasonable if underwhelming. Your extra text doesn't so anything because you aren't adding exemptions to the copy effect. But more importantly it just doesn't do anything because noncreature nontribal cards can't have creature subtypes.
What are you trying to accomplish with this design? If its just a legendary Vesuva its not really worth it. If you had some vision for the card if you explain what it is others could help you fulfill it.
The general consensus after artifact lands broke standard is that putting relevant types on lands is generally bad for balancing and ability that wants to check for those types, which is why we didn't get an enchantment land in Theros that could trigger Constellation. That said, the limitation of this being Legendary might be enough to balance that because playing four in a deck would be a bad idea.
It would need some templating updates though, specifically due to the Tribal type mentioned earlier. Additionally, baking Changeling into the copy ability (which is necessary for the copy to have Changeling) rather than having it directly printed means the land wouldn't be able to be tutored for or revealed from hand for costs, so you might want to take that off if you are looking for that balance point.
Lastly, copy abilities don't target because they don't use the stack, so I updated that text as well. Moritte of the Frost is a fairly close effect to your card, so that was a good guide along with Vesuva.
Epitome's Bailiwick
Legendary Tribal Land - Shapeshifter
Changeling
You may have Epitome's Bailiwick enter the battlefield tapped as a copy of any land on the battlefield, except its name is ~, it's legendary and tribal in addition to its other types and it has changeling.
The intention is to have a land that can copy other lands or can act as all creature types at all times. It doesn't need to keep changeling if it's a land. Did I miss something. I need to make it tribal? Thank you guys.
