There’s an issue with artificer and Warrior. Besides Zendikar rising, warriors dominantly have been cause of the vampires and artificers have been dominantly because of the Kor.
But I don’t have a huge problem with keeping the artificers and warriors in your pairings for post-eldrazi Zendikar. If you were to add the next three it would be
-Berserker
-Leviathan***
-Horror
The reason that is Leviathan is that 1)there have only been 5 cards in all of Zendikar’s printing that are only those colors, 2) of those cards, one is a serpent and the other is Kiora, and 3)Zendikar has big sea creatures proven by some of the new legends printed in Zendikar rising and Commander Legends.
Leviathan and Horror aren’t classes but monster-color pair matchups would be an idea!
Berserker works, and I think I’ve decided on the last two - Druid and Monk. That’s five “physical” and five “magical” classes with all color getting two of each. I didn’t intend that but it is neat how that turned out.
It does depend on the world as well. Knights, Soldiers, Artificers and Warriors all could be R/ depending on the setting, but have also been in other colors as well.
For instance, if you went by ravnica guilds, you'd get
Knight - WU
Rogue - UB
??? - BR (Berserker maybe?)
Warrior - RG
Druid - GW
Cleric - WB
Wizard - UR
Shaman - BG
Soldier - RW
??? - GU (I really dunno, Mutant is like a class?)
But if you made WU into Beauracrat, then BR could be Knight (just not on Ravnica)
Green/Blue is probably the most difficult. I'd probably say Scientist or Biologist, which don't exist as creature types, usually replaced with the type Wizard.
Green/Red is usually shamans. Red/Black can use the new Warlock creature type.
Hey Krypt. Not arguing. They do seem pretty well. I'm just wondering the thoughts on the last one. Red Black being Warlocks. What I see in Warlocks are using dark magics gathered from the ground and plants to do magic. That's also why I suggested Shaman. Kinda the same thing. Just wondering your thoughts. Thanks.
I think Warlocks in mtg seem to be your typical witches, necromancers, blood mages, that sort of thing. I don't really see a lot of situations where Warlocks are Evil Druids.
There's some overlap between what is a Warlock or a Shaman. I'm not sure where the dividing line is; could be Lawful vs. Chaotic, or something.

We've got:
Cleric
Rogue
Wizard
Warrior
How about the other six pairs? So far I came up with:
Artificer
Shaman
Scout
I'd love something for the last three, but I don't know what to go with. Ideas?
Shards of awful never

RUNIN: Norse mythology set (awaiting further playtesting)
FATE of ALARA: Multicolour factions (currently on hiatus)
Contibutor to the Pyrulea community set
I'm here to tell you that all your set mechanics are bad

Artificer and Monk feel out of place for Zendikar somehow, but overall that's a good way to fit everything together.
Could do Advisor or Knight in .
Could also do a little rearranging and go for:
Advisor
Pirate
Shaman
Berserker
Druid
Scout
