Haste
When ~ enters the battlefield, any player may pay an amount of mana. Player paid the most gains control of ~. If amounts are equal, one of these players gains control of ~ at random.

Counter target spell you don't control.
Then, if you both own and control ~, exile it. An opponent who controlled a spell countered with ~ may play it from exile without paying its mana cost.
A 2/2 for 1 with haste is very powerful but even if you play this turn 1 you may end up losing it and after turn one it comes attached with a far better syncopate for your opponent. It can't be balanced at costing mana because it is too easy for your opponent to match your investment. Paying life makes it a reasonable card. Though you need to fix your wording so it's obvious if they can keep paying life or if its a one time chance.
Countergift, this is way too good. Aggro and tempo decks would dominate if they had access to this. It might now be good enough to stop combo in the larger formats but it is an arrow to the knee against control decks.

Any thoughts or advices for wording?
