Following the style of the Origins Gatewatch, Ajani here gets a DFC creature/planeswalker card with a same-color legendary creature who plays a role in his story.
Ajani, Pride Outcast2W
Legendary Creature - Cat Cleric
Lifelink
Whenever you gain life, put a +1/+1 counter on another target creature you control. If you control a creature with power 5 or greater, exile ~, then return him to the battlefield transformed under his owner's control.
2/2
Ajani, Pride Healer W Legendary Planeswalker - Ajani
+1: Creatures you control get +1/+1 and gain lifelink until end of turn.
-3: Exile target creature. Its controller gains life equal to its power.
0: You get an emblem with "If a creature or planeswalker you control would die, return it to its owner's hand instead."
4
Ajani has always been tied to lifegain, so it's only fitting his creature face cares about lifegain as well. I like the idea of Ajani functioning like a mix of Ajani's Pridemate and Ajani's Sunstriker, only instead of putting the +1/+1 counter on Ajani himself you put it on another target creature you control, reflecting Ajani's outcast status. The power 5 clause is a nod to the fact Ajani comes from Naya.
For the planeswalker side, I like the idea of Ajani's ultimate giving you an emblem that effectively rescues any creatures or planeswalkers you control that would die. He's used the Swords to Plowshares effect before, so it works well as removal here. Normally I'd want his + to be something useful after combat, but since his ultimate can be activated for free, you can always use that if he transforms after combat.
Jazal, Pride Leader2WW
Legendary Creature - Cat Warrior
Whenever ~ attacks, you may put a Cat creature card from your hand onto the battlefied tapped and attacking. 2W: Cat creatures you control get +1/+1 until end of turn.
4/4
Since Jazal is literally a tribal Cat leader, I figured making him Cat-tribal was only fitting. His attack trigger hearkens back to Preeminent Captain, while his pump ability is reminiscent of his original card, only restricted to Cat creatures.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I like both of these designs. Very flavorful in both lore and abilities. Any reason why the emblem has to exile the creature instead of return it back to your hand at the beginning of the next end step? It seems like an unnecessary hoop.
Mostly to avoid exploits. Stuff like saccing a creature over and over to Ashnod's Altar and such. But I guess the emblem could be simplified to a simple self bounce.

Good designs. But, named characters are always legendary.
Good catch!
Whoops! Can't believed I missed that.
