I assume this is a parody of Deathrite Shaman. It's cool and probably excessively pushed but I don't want to talk about that, I want to talk about the name. Why is it a soulsmith? There is a lot of leeway in what Soul refers to or references but you consume three things that specifically don't have souls and none of the abilities seem flavored to reference anything even remotely close to souls.
Pretty much what the person above said. I would personally go with Runesmith or Spellsmith but that's just me.
And yeah, this card scares me a bit more than the original DRS. While this card doesn't have the same synergy with Fetches that grant the original so much of its power (though Tormod's Crypt would likely see some maindeck play), the fact that its other abilities effectively generate card advantage for you (or at least slow opponents down) looks a bit terrifying.
Cool as this card is, I'd assess it as even stronger than DRS. Countering and burn to creatures are much, much stronger than life gain and loss, and of course two mana is greater than one, even if what you can exile is more restricted.
