Wanted to try making a very special clone for a set with DFCs... but I'm not sure whether language exists to properly convey what I'm doing. Is there any alternate wording that you'd consider?
Twisted Vision
Creature- Illusion Shapeshifter (R)
Twisted Vision enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
Twisted Vision enters the battlefield as a copy of target creature an opponent controls. If that creature can transform, Twisted Vision instead enters the battlefield as a copy of its opposite side.
0/0 One cannot escape their fate.
"If it can transform" is surprisingly vague. Does it only work if the card has the word transform in its text thus failing on the reverse sides that don't turn back; or does it work on any double-faced permanent. How does it handle Persistent Nightmare? Kind of important but I assume its a templating error, you are using a target on a replacement effect that has no time in which to target; also if the player orders abilities wrong they won't get the +1/+1 counter.
Serious question right there. I know that Maro posts about certain cards being an error on blogatog from time to time and have never heard about Clever Impersonator being a problem.
Edit: @User_938036: In my head, "if it can transform" is pretty transparent. Cloistered Youth can transform. Unholy Fiend is still a DFC but has no way to transform (barring tricks like moonmist). Would "if that permanent has a triggered or activated ability that would cause it to transform" be a better wording?

No, Blue can clone any permanent type there is no color pie problem I have no idea what Michealin is talking about. If clone walkers were a problem then clone anything would be a problem.
