Wanted to try some possible designs for uncommon planeswalkers.
Decided to put all of them at 3 loyalty to keep them outside of shock range.
The idea is to give them a static ability and a single activated ability that "kills" the planeswalker when used.
Gideon, Paragon of Law1WW
Legendary Planeswalker - Gideon
When ~ enters the battlefiels, Tap target creature an opponent controls, it doesn't untap as long as you control ~.
- 3: creatures you control gain indestructible and vigilance until end of turn.
3
Jace, Careful Planner2U
Legendary Planeswalker - Jace
Opponents play with their hands revealed.
- 3: Scry 3 then draw one card.
3
Liliana, Mistress of Undeath2BB
Legendary Planeswalker - Liliana
At the beginning of your upkeep you may sacrifice a creature. If you do, target opponent discards a card.
-3 : return target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield, you lose life equal to that creature's converted mana cost.
3
Chandra, the Everburning1RR
Legendary Planeswalker - Chandra
At the beginning of your upkeep you may discard a card. If you do, ~ deals 2 damage to target creature or planeswalker.
-3 : exile target red instant or sorcery card from your graveyard. Until your next turn you may cast that card.
3
Nissa, Nature Tender1GG
Legendary Planeswalker - Nissa
As ~ enters the battlefield choose a pasic land type. Basic lands you control are of the chosen type in addition to any other type.
-3 : untap up to three lands you control.

We are currently a week away from WAR spoiler season. Do you think we could see anything like those?
Rare versions could go up to 2 loyalty spending abilities (one that kills it and one that can be used twice) and Mythic walkers can have 1 spending ability that leaves the walker alive and one loyalty generating ability for susteinance.
Planeswalkers with only 1 loyalty ability, especially one that kills them, don't really feel like planeswalkers. Putting that aside, these look mostly reasonable. White doesn't lock down the way Gideon is doing. Liliana might be too good, its hard to evaluate her combination of abilities. Nissa and Jace's static ability are underwhelming for their costs. Nissa's ramp while using in color abilities feels off color due to being a one time use.
I know they don't feel like regular planeswalkers and they are not supposed to.are thought to work like some kind of enchantment with an extra activated ability. In lore it could be justified as either weak/weakened characters or inexperienced walkers (used the names of the gatewatch ones just for lazyness).
As for Gideon, white is not new to switching off creatures by tapping them Gideon's Lawkeeper for example (even if perma-tap is something blue is doing more often). I was thinking about biving an oblivion ring-like effect, but it would not work well with the second ability.
Liliana could be a little more balanced at 5 mana. Granted.
Probably Jace would be better with a Scry 1 at beginning of upkeep and a -3 create a copy of target creature except it is an illusion in addition to its other types and has "sif this creature becomes target of a spell or ability, sacrifice it".
Would change Nissa's mana cost to 2G to splash her better in multicolor decks as a toned down chromatic lantern and change ler -3 into a cultivate, may be?
