This is the face card for a "land types matter" deck.
NAME, Asura of UnityWUBRG
Legendary creature - Angel
Flying, first strike, lifelink, vigilance Domain - Whenever a creature you control attacks alone, it gets +1/+1 until end of turn for each basic land type among lands you control.
5/5
The Asura of Unity is an Angel from Bant who seeks to unite Alara spiritually as well as geographically. Her Domain ability is a sort of "super Exalted" that can pump a creature by as much as +5/+5 per attack. She also features white's four primary keywords which each represent an overlap between white and another color.
I'll also show off one of the deck's secondary commanders, The Guildpact Colossus.
The Guildpact Colossus(2/W)(2/U)(2/B)(2/R)(2/G)
Legendary Artifact Creature - Golem
Defender, reach WUBRG: Until end of turn, ~ gains trample and indestructible. It can attack this turn as though it didn't have defender. Spend only mana produced by Gates to activate this ability.
10/10
Gates are one of the deck's secondary themes, following the "noncreature subtypes matter" theme. The Guildpact Colossus is designed to be a commander for a Gates deck. I tried having it count the number of Gates you control as Gate Colossus does, but I liked the idea of encouraging the player to use mana produced by Gates instead. I'm considering giving it a mana cost of WUBRG with the catch that you can only spend mana produced by Gates to cast it, but something tells me that would work better as an alternate cost.
I'm debating whether or not TGC should have indestructible by default, and whether or not it should have reach.
EDIT: TGC now costs (2/W)(2/U)(2/B)(2/R)(2/G) much like Reaper King.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I considered making Exalted Domain a keyword much like how Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow gave us Commander Ninjutsu, but it didn't seem necessary as Exalted and similar effects have been written out before.
At the very least, I'd make her a GWU Angel with a WUBRG ability, but the main point here is to be a WUBRG Domain legend.

The domain exalted makes for a mechanically cute design that works well enough with the themes. Best realization of the concept - including a sensible creative treatment.

The color-defining ability is now redundant.
"Gate-theme" and "basic land type-theme" are a weird combination since they use a mutually exclussive set of lands.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.
[thread=239793][Game] Level Up - Creature[/thread]
Whoops, forgot to remove the color-defining text. I'll fix that pronto.
Yeah, Domain's probably the better theme to push here. I'm just eager to find a place for a WUBRG Gates Commander and a deck themed around land subtypes seemed like a good place.
I'll probably try a Landfall legend that cares about the types of land falling. It has to have one effect that always triggers regardless, but then gives you a bonus based on what basic land types the land has, if any. Or I could just do a Chinese menu legend with five different triggered abilities, one for each type.

I'd prefer this as a "one-color five-color" deal with a UBRG activated ability, perhaps, but maybe that's too much text.
