Hank is a legend I designed for Daxas, my take on a Western plane. He's a short, red-haired outlaw with an even shorter temper and an itchy trigger finger. Sound like any famous cartoon characters you know?

Legendary Creature - Dwarf Rogue
Double strike, haste
~ attacks each turn if able.
Whenever ~ deals combat damage to a player, create that many colorless Gold artifact tokens with "Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color."
Whenever ~ is dealt damage, ~ deals that much damage to any target.

With Hank, I wanted to emphasize four qualities:
He's short. Power and toughness are the main indicators of size in Magic, and low numbers emphasize Hank's a bit of a shortstack. It also helps reduce his mana cost.
He's fast and aggressive. Haste and AETIA (Attack Each Turn If Able) are the main indicators, but Double Strike not only further emphasizes both these qualities, it helps protect Hank when he's going on the attack.
He's an outlaw. The Rogue class and combat damage-triggered Gold token producing ability emphasize this aspect.
He's violently temperamental. The single most important quality of any Yosemite Sam-esque character is that fiery temper. Ixalan gave us a convenient expression of this temper in the Enrage mechanic, which triggers whenever the creature gets damaged. As an ability word, Enrage doesn't have to be named such here, but it fits the character to a T.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Yeah, the Sam archetype probably could be represented in various cards, like a 1/1 common Dwarf Rogue with haste and AETIA or a rare with the Enrage ability.

Yeah, if Dwarves remain in Daxas, probably better to make several homages to Sam rather than just the one.

Conceptually this is very fun but probably does way, way too much for one card.

Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."
