I'm not entirely certain about the purple slice of the color pie, but both Æther Bandit and Phrenic Nisse seem to not fall into white's and green's slice of the color pie respectively.
I'm uncertain about the design intent behind Æther Salvation. It seems not a likely alternative use to phasae ou a creature for 5 mana if you could destroy a creature instead. I was surprised to see that cards using pruple mana had the Phyrexian watermark as well.
Your Slivers don't do the thing that Slivers do.
Serendib Elite is the only member of its cycle without the activated ability for some reason.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.
[thread=239793][Game] Level Up - Creature[/thread]
Purple mana is very similar to Colorless; although the colorless design space has long been associated with mono brown artifacts, and more recently the Eldrazi. For story and stylistic reasons, I feel the Aetherborn are still better represented by purple - despite the mechanical similarities to colorless. Wastes and Cavern are both new typeless basic lands. I am of the opinion that now wizards have used this technology, they are free to move into other colors if they wish. If they ever were to do so, I would expect it to be related to the next silver bordered un-set, or some sort of new ancilliary format not necessarily related to the already well-established standard, modern, or eternal formats (like if MtG ever makes a Risk style board game.) I would agree that canon MtG will likely explore the colorless design space rather than a sixth color, as well as other forms of resources like energy and snow mana. I have also toyed with the thought of treating purple mana, not unlike snow mana - which would include Basic Cave Lands of each color instead of a new typeless basic.
Aether Bandit, certainly would feel more at home in black, with the other labotomy type cards; however, colorshifting this to white doesn't feel like it's breaking the color pie, just flexing it. Similar with Phrenic Nisse, while it would clearly be more at home in blue, I feel like it's an accept flex/bend. Especially given the block setting (Time Spiral / Planar Chaos -ish).
Aether Salvation (updated text):
Delve (Each card you exile from your graveyard while casting this spell pays for 1.)
Destroy target creature. If P was spent to cast Aether Salvation you may phase out or exile that creature instead.
This card is intended to be lenticular; after the update, the delve now supports the purple exile plan. And both before and after, the card was designed to be flexible - allowing it to be used as removal, or alternatively, used to save one of your own creatures from removal or combat. Now that black can perhaps destroy enchantments, I could potentially see a new design for this slot that dips into that space.
The Phyrexian Slivers that don't always do Sliver thing, would still be pretty boss if you lumped them in and played them with canon slivers. I think it's a fine space to explore. Especially given the story and flavor explanation; after having gone thru Phythsis the sliver hive mind connection was often severed.
Serendib Elite intentionally forgoes the inclusion of life extension via activated ability to add time counters; the design I felt would be too powerful otherwise, with the potential to single-handedly act as a clock and finisher...when contrasted with the others in the cycle S.E. is clearly better, none of the others exhibit any sort of evasion...
Also, I was a huge fan of Serendib Efreet, so Serendib Elite obviously has that historical significance as well.
Thank you for your thoughts & consideration and apologies for such a late reply, I only recently noticed these posts.
