Aetheric Reprocessor 2UR
Creature - Wizard (R/MR)
If an instant or sorcery card you don’t control would be put into a graveyard from anywhere, exile it instead. As long as that card remains in exile, you may cast that card and you may spend mana as though it were mana of any color to cast that spell.
3/2
Watermark: Phyrexian
Honestly, this concept was stolen from This Topic, and credit is due to deadly1123 and void_nothing for giving me the idea of Guile and Dryad Militant's creepy baby, I just wanted to move this design out of the topic.
I've changed the colours to Izzet because Bant felt odd, and Izzet is the colour of both theft and non-permanent spells. Honestly, I could probably justify it in a bunch of combos.
Literally everything about this card except the core ability and it feeling very Phyrexian to me can be changed.
Thoughts?

Because you are getting them from anywhere it feels like it should be BU and possibly an artifact, to open it to more answers. To keep it UR it should only get instant and sorcerys that resolve or are countered. Its hard to gauge how strong this is, depending on where it actually falls on strength you could change it so the ability to cast the spells is part of the card and not granted by the exile ability.
So, if an opponent casts a seething song or dark ritual (or counterspell, or any sorcery/instant), he's screwed sideways?
I mean, let's say the opponent cast a swords to plowshares. You now have infinite number of swords to plowshares for 1. (cast the swords from exile, spell resolves, goes to graveyard, goes to exile, repeat).
New version, with added counterplay. I was considering using Phybrid, but I'd probably want to use Generic Phybrid and I'm not sure that exists in the rules.

Imprint — If an instant or sorcery card you don’t control would be put into a graveyard from anywhere, you may pay 2 to exile it on Aetheric Reprocessor instead.
Once each turn, you may cast a card exiled with Aetheric Reprocessor. If you do, you may spend mana as though it were mana of any type to cast that spell.

Not at the same 2. If it cost the three colors it was as phytexian mana it might be possible, or you would need a limiter on when you could cast the spell, like only your turn or requiring t so you can't get more than one spell a turn cycle.

I agree with this. Either have them pay 1 (if you keep it Izzet) or 2 life (if it's Grixis), then have "T: You may cast a card exiled with Aetheric Reprocessor without paying its mana cost."
CMC 3 is reasonable as long as it only steals opponent's spells and not yours, since then you depend on your opponent in order to cast something silly like Time Stretch
Although, fair question: do you control an instant card that is milled from your library or discarded from your hand? Usually 'control' is used only to refer to objects on the battlefield or on the stack.
The goal is you can't get your own spells, so maybe I need to include both.

That wording has been really bothering me. You are using a version of the old imprint wording. You don't exile on anything, you simply exile the card knows how to find the cards it exiled.

I would certainly enjoy playing this card. It's like an instant/sorcery version of Mimic Vat.
Could I suggest that instead of saying:
Imprint — If an instant or sorcery card you don’t own or control would be put into a graveyard from anywhere, you may pay 2 life to exile it instead.
You could word it as:
Imprint — If an instant or sorcery card would be put into an opponent's graveyard from anywhere, you may pay 2 life to exile it instead.

That might be a bit cleaner?
That allows them to continuously cast the same spell which wasn't intended. Though with the new cost of tapping and paying life it might be fine. The original version would be way too strong with that wording.
Good catch, I guess it could still be:
Imprint — If an instant or sorcery card you don't control would be put into an opponent's graveyard from anywhere, you may pay 2 life to exile it instead.
Not sure if that's cleaner than "you don't own or control" or not.
Edit: I guess that still doesn't get around milling yourself, though. Maybe "own or control" is the best wording then. For some reason I just don't like it.
Yeah, the intent of this card is you're stealing/reusing your opponent's spells/potential spells, so anything that sets up a loop or allows Processor's owner to provide their own spells is against the design intent (and also probably OP).

Ah, my mistake then, for confusing owninship with control.
