Secret commander (If this card is your commander, it begins the game face down in the command zone and isn't revealed until it's cast for the first time. You may look at this card at any time while it's face down.)
Example card:
Lazav, the Spy King3UB
Legendary Creature - Shapeshifter (M)
Secret commander
You may have Lazav enter the battlefield as a copy of any creature on the battlefield or any creature card in any graveyard, except its name is still Lazav, the Spy King and it's legendary in addition to its other types.
3/3
of course, there would have to be multiple secret commanders in each color combination that had any, to keep the secret. the rules would also have to require that the secret commanders are revealed at game's end, like morphs n secret agendas
Sounds cool. Needs lots and lots of commanders, though, At least 20 of them. I'm not sure dedicating that many commanders to a single mechanic is feasible.

You could probably get away with four or five if every single one of them is UB. It does take an awful lot of effort just to avoid obvious tells, though. Make the options within a color combo too distinct, and your opponents will just figure out your plan. They have to be different enough to be interesting, yet be able to be used interchangeably to fool your friends without switching decks entirely.
This mechanic certainly doesn't work as well ripped from conspiracy. At least in drafts you have something that is already hidden information, but here you're trying to hide something that is public information both by design and by necessity.
