I also submitted this during the 2nd Great Designer Search in October 2010. Although I didn't know it at the time, that's exactly when they were working on the initial part of Return to Ravnica, and I specifically said it would be a good time to use the mechanic "if Magic were to revisit Ravnica."
So, it's not really "from" me because it was already theirs via Ink-Treader Nephilim and Glimmervoid Basin, and it's not really "stolen" because I told them they could have it, but I'm totally taking bragging rights for it anyway.

Quote from Monty Ashley »
Overload was first introduced by Ken Nagle in the Great Designer Search, which he then called "dispersion." Ken led development on Return to Ravnica and thus was able to get "dispersion" in as the Izzet mechanic. (August 28 CoTD)
Time to search for the custom cards I made for the bragging rights.
Abrupt Decay (except its counterable.)
Dreadbore (same)
Grisly Salvage (same)
Lotleth Troll (except it isn't a Troll and has no regenerate.)
Izzet Charm (same)
Pack Rat (except the ability to create a copy of itself is by tapping.)
Chromatic Lantern (same)
(Don't click if you don't want to see a (sort of) Return to Ravnica spoiler).
Yep I also made a card that uses that as a cost for kicker.
Solo Summer 1W

Kicker--Counter another spell you control.
If ~ was kicked, it has split second.
You and permanents you control gain shroud until end of turn. If ~ was kicked, draw a card.
I conceived a mechanic similar to Scavenge, except it was more graveyard-based Reinforce. Mostly they just took the name Scavenge since my mechanic isn't similar.
A while ago I got inspired to do some "Ravnica-Guild based Charms". I had no explicit hit on the abilities as far as I can tell, but developed the concept with exactly the same reasoning as the real ones. I'm a little sad that the real charms will mean that I won't feel bothered to actually complete the ten-card cycle - I only made a second thread for them.
On the other hand I'm happy they happened, because it simply would have been a missed opportunity if they weren't made right now.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

Annihilating Fire deals 3 damage to target creature or player. If a creature dealt damage this way would die this turn, exile it instead.
Exactly my card Heart of the Mountain, except I'm not that concerned that people might splash it:

I don't remember many of them, and I lost my database of custom cards years and years ago. I'm sure there have been tons.
Of what I do remember, the first one I can recall was Necrologia. Mine was slightly different though, and I think it related to when it could be cast or something.
The one I remember best was Future Sight. I had that one exactly, mana cost and all. I designed it for a custom format I play where there's a shared library.

I'm bragging for someone whose name I can't recall and post I can't locate despite my best efforts. Said person designed a card on these forums some time back that is identical to Mizzium Mortars' overload effect:
Endless Salvos (Rare) 3RRR
Sorcery
Endless Salvos deals 4 damage to any number of target creatures.
I tip my proverbial hat to you sir and brag for you in earnest. Frankly, I thought the design was pushing it, but WotC (and apparently you) know best.
I know this has happened a few times at least, but the only one I can think of off the top of my head is Creeping Corrosion. I made a card exactly like it except mine also destroyed all enchantments, since my block has a decent enchantment theme.
Ooze Divider -- 3GG
Creature -- Ooze (R)
When Ooze Divider is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, put two 2/2 green Ooze creature tokens onto the battlefield with "When this creature is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, put two 1/1 green Ooze creature tokens onto the battlefield."
4/4
Touch of Verdancy G
Sorcery
You may play an additional land card this turn.
Draw a card.
Kudos to Eliminator for making Explore some five years in advance. And for doing a parallel design of Lightning Helix. (In the original thread, rancored elf predicted this to be in Ravnica.)
Quick thinking 2U
Enchantment UU: Draw two cards, then discard two cards.
If you would draw a card and you have no cards in your library, you win the game instead. In a mage dual, its not the strongest that wins, but the fastest.
The recently spoiled burning tree emissary is almost exactly a card I've had in the wings for a potential old-west themed set. My card added hybrid mana, because in my world you can add hybrid mana, but otherwise (besides the name) it was identical. What strikes me is the art matches the flavor that I was going for (essentially a hybrid red/green native american inspired tribe)

At the time, it was called Dispersion.
Well, I, uh . . .

As prompted by certain threads on the forums, I'm now certain that the planeswalkers in DGM will be.... Ral Zarek, Morsel of the Firemind.
