Enchantment
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may search your library for a Plains card and put it into your hand. If you do, shuffle your library.
I made Agony Warp, word for word, right before Eventide was released. The only difference was the name and flavor text, both of which I didn't have on my version (I couldn't think of a good name).

Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
Whenever enchanted creature becomes the target of a spell or ability from a source that does not share a color with it, the owner of that spell or ability gains control of enchanted creature. They say opposites attract. Who knew they were being literal?

I thought my idea was rather original (though crappy)...and then someone pointed out that Wizards already printed it. :\

Yea, i got one now thanx to the Shards of Alara "tri-color" lands.
So, they CIPT'd, and give you 3 colors. at Uncommon rarity.
Back about 4 years ago, I was sure that Wotc would NEVER make a land like this, so I went and made 5 of them, 4 of them included Black, and the 5th was a R/U/W. (wasn't really trying to keep within the color pie-ness) and I set them at Rare.
All i had different, was names, and rarity. Weird to see something I thought I was the only one to think of it, actually come to print. Guess it's only a matter of time b4 someone else thinks of it too
Heh. So far I've beaten WotC to the punch on two fixer-lands of that nature, but only because they've both been made from existing artifacts. (The other was Shimmering Grotto, which I called Celestial Observatory.)
Shifting Mirage
Land (U) T: Add 1 to your mana pool. T: Target land becomes the basic land type of its controller's choice until end of turn.
My version is better than the similar Conflux card since it works in 2HG and can hinder lands with nonmana abilities. And this better wording does have some slight precedent with Wishmonger. oh well.
I got a new one. Made this for the FCC recently. The challenge was to make a flip card where you can play either side (ignoring the rules difficulties this brings up)
Coalition ExplorersU
Whenever a land comes into play under your control, scry 1.
Creature - Metathran Soldier 1/1
// Maro Sage2G
~’s power and toughness are each equal to the number of basic land types amongst lands you control.
Creature - Elemental */*
The green half comes up as Matca Rioters on the Conflux spoiler, imagine my surprise.
Not really actually, both are a logical extension of Kavu Scout. I should only be alarmed if the blue side comes up somewhere else in Conflux. Here's hoping, actually.

Oh dear God, I suddenly realize where I've seen Obelisk of Alara before. IT'S IN MY CARD FILE.
Artificer's Stone 6
Legendary Artifact
You can’t play spells.
WWW: You gain 5 life.
UUU: Return target permanent to its owner’s hand.
BBB: Target creature gets -2/-2 until end of turn.
RRR: Artificer’s Stone deals 3 damage to target creature or player.
GGG: Target creature gets +4/+4 until end of turn.
Three of these abilities are identical, one is minorly different (the red one) and the blue ability is the only one that doesn't match up.
I don't believe this crap. I really don't.

When editing cards in the first post of a thread, PLEASE leave the original so that everyone can comment on the thread and not just those who saw the original. Those who did not see the original can't leave comments as we don't have any idea WTF is going on.
Colourless mana comes FIRST! Try actually looking at a Magic card some time. It is NOT UU3, it's 3UU. What game are you making cards for?
I can no longer tell people to check their card names, because I am made of suck and fail.
I made a card similar to Exploding Borders.
I know it's just on one part, but then again, it's never been done before.
Search for a land, than deal damage equal to the number of land used. Desecrate the Ground4GB
Sorcery (u)
Search your library for a Swamp card and put it into play tapped. Then shuffle your library.
~ deals damage equal to the number of Swamps you control to target player.
You gain life equal to the damage dealt this way.
I think I'll change it to a modular card with flashback!
I made something similar to Pestilent Kathari for We Make the Set, though it was slightly different:
Bloodlasher (I don't remember exactly what I called it) 4B
Creature - Cyclops Warrior
Deathtouch 1R: Bloodlasher gains first strike until end of turn.
3/3
Mainly just the concept of a black deathtoucher that gained first strike with red mana...
Asking out a girl is like trying to cast a first turn Necropotence. Sometimes the other player will have the Force of Will to say no. You shouldn't let that stop you from trying it.
I thought of something close to gluttonous slime, but it had graft instead of Devour.
{Card Name} 2G
Flash
Graft 2
1/1
But that's totally different. First off I'm curious why you have a graft creature be 1/1 base, now you have a 3 cost 3/3 creature with flash with while not reality altering is bewilderingly better than a number of creatures I can think of. Anyway, flash and devour is a combo. You can sacrifice creatures that are dying, or jump up with a surprise blocker. There is no synergy with flash and graft, unless you want to surprise your opponent with the ability to move a +1/+1 counter onto their creature. WotC stole nothing from you.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
I'm not mine was really a card but a mechanic that was copied.
Phyrexian Bloodletter 2BB
Artifact Creature
Damage that ~ deals can't be prevented.
Whenever ~ would deal damage to a creature put that many -1/-1 counters on it instead.
2/3
The second ability was basically what was made into wither and this was about a year before wither right after i saw the blue myr in Future Sight.
And my friend and I came up with something similar to wither (and dealing with -1 counters as opposed to damage) and put them on a few cards, but never really made it a keyword:

mine was more powerful and unpreventable than exploding borders. i made it for fun in a deck with a lot of ridiculous cards.
