Creature - Elf Wizard Spellshaper (2/2)
Defender, haste x,t, Discard a card: Reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a creature card with converted mana cost X. Put that card onto the battlefield and shuffle the rest into your library.
Of course the goal is to turn Momir Magic into something that's reasonably possible to play at the table. But would this lead to toolbox decks with exactly one possible creature for each cost or what? Even among the fair ways of building around this, it's not like anyone puts in creatures that have any chance of backfiring, which is one of the trademarks of the Momir format.
Would exiling the other revealed cards instead of shuffling them back be fair or just dumb?
The first change should be to remove haste, and then you could maybe remove defender too. After that, I would think about changing "discard a card" to "sacrifice a creature" or maybe "sacrifice CARDNAME", which would make it like Riptide Shapeshifter. It is a somewhat unique ability that would need testing to see which of those three costs would work out best and to see if maybe it needs a sorcery speed restriction too.
You could always say "converted mana cost X or less", which would make it weaker, yes, but limit a heap of potential problems with it. Also, the defender and haste just clunk up the card and don't make sense on a GU creature.
