Whenever another player would gain life, you gain that much life instead.
Pay 4 life: Target creature becomes black until end of turn. 1B: Target creature becomes a vampire and has lifelink as long as it's black. Beware, life is not always as it seems unless you see it through my eyes.

Sister's War - WBR
Legendary Enchantment
Creatures you control have Trample and must attack each turn if able.
Creatures you don't control must block each turn if able.
Whenever a creature an opponent controls blocks, that player may pay 3. If he or she doesn't, tap that creature and remove it from combat.
Oops! I left off an important part of that enchantment and when I went back to fix it I realized it didn't do what I wanted. Basically they have to block and they have to tax. If they don't their creature becomes tapped and my creature is unblockable.
The flavor for the dryads is they're an aggressive race of dryad rogues who actively want to overrun the world with trees for their families. They hate humans because of tree felling and forest fires so they turn everything they can into a tree/forest. I think shaman might be a better choice than wizard but I don't have a problem creating classes on dryads (esp when there is flavor for it). Not all dryads are created equal even if they've only been portrayed one way in magic thus far.
I'm digging the Abresia Dryad. That's a cool and unique ability. I like how it can start out as a benefit, then change into a pretty serious drawback over time. I wonder if it might be better to sacrifice a permanent and then tutor for a Forest and put it into play, but that'd be a lot of shuffling.
Then how does gustcloak harrier and ilk work when the gustcloak ability says "remove it from combat" if it's no longer in combat it's no longer attacking or blocking.
If the wording doesn't work then I need to add Trample.
That description of the Dryads doesn't really fit the class "Rogue" as used in Magic. "Rogue" is used for sneaks and thieves, like the D&D class Rogue. Not anything that is a "rogue" from the mainstream.
So...Rebel? I feel it needs to have a class to represent its nature. I hate that I can't use Rogue for its actual meaning -_-. Rebel I guess wouldn't fit either. Ideas then?

You attack with a grizzly bear. I block with a gray ogre. I cast some sort spell that says "untap target creature and remove it from combat"
Now your bear is STILL blocked. However, my gray ogre is not considered blocking. Your bear does no damage (unless you give it trample) and my gray ogre does no damage.
For an attacking creature this is fine, and works like you would think. But removing a blocking creature doesn't make the creature it was assigned as blocking become "unblocked"
It's the same idea as when my gray ogre leaves play via unsommon or incinerate. Your dude is still blocked if that was cast after I declared blockers.
why not just a Dryad Warrior? It's fairly big and the Dryad part explains its ability
I don't think it does though. It feels like it needs a second ability. The dryad portion just means they're tied to their trees. The shaman/wizard represents the fact that they are mages experienced in arbor magic. They don't just spawn new trees they basically transmute one object into a tree.

Like the dryad, but the creature types are weird. Just Dryad would probably work, as they don't usually have classes.

Because Gustcloak Harrier is dealing with attacking creatures.

Then trample it is so it works the way I want it.
I'll edit the first post.
Thoughts now?
