Wretched Goblin Hoard (need a better name) 2RR
Creature - Goblin Elemental Beserker
When ~ is the target of a spell or ability, put a 1/1 red goblin creature token into play with haste.
This card can't be the target of abilities with a cost of 0 and artifact abilities.
3/4
*This one is an uncommon.
Desperate Duplicator (also needs a better name) 1UG
Creature - Mutatant Shapeshifter
When ~ is the target of a spell or ability, put a copy of ~ into play.
This card can't be the target of abilities with a cost of 0 and artifact abilities.

*this one is a rare.
Artifact abilites stop it from being broken with cheap equipments and the 0 cost thing is self explanitory.
Wretched Goblin Hoard :2mana::symr::symr:
Creature - Goblin Elemental Beserker (r)
Whenever ~ becomes the target of a spell or ability, put a 1/1 red goblin creature token with haste onto the battlefield.
3/4
I know you said it's an uncommon, but it isn't. It also does some ridiculous things with Lightning Greaves or other equips. The haste is kind of overdoing things, and elemental doesn't make a ton of sense either.
Desperate Duplicator :1mana::symu::symg:
Creature - Mutatant Shapeshifter (r)
Whenever ~ becomes the target of a spell or ability, put a token that is a copy of ~ onto the battlefield.
2/3
Could probably stand to loose some toughness, as it's being pushed really hard right now, and has the same problems with greaves as the goblin.
check out all the cards that have something happen when they become the target of a spell/ability. they're either 1) toughness boosts that don't directly help you win the game, 2) drawbacks, or 3) benefits that only happen when its the opponent's spell/ability.
its too easy to abuse otherwise, especially if you have a bunch of creatures with that ability.

If its not good enough, you could always make it something more like:

Creature - Mutant Shapeshifter {R}
When ~ becomes the target of a spell, copy that spell and put a token onto the battlefield that is a copy of ~. You may choose new targets for that spell.

2/2
So wait, if you play a spell that targets you can copy it targeting the original, thus giving you infinite 2/2's. Even if your spell destroys the origianl, say Lightning Bolt, you put all the copies of the spell onto the original creature and keep all the token copies.
If you limit the duplication to being targeted by your opponent, you have a useless creature because they never will. If you can copy it with your own spells, there is potential for infinite chains. Therefore, there is no way to work this idea properly.
I think the restriction around targeting need to be fixed so that you don't get degenerate loops. Gtmwarrior's recommendations based on previous mechanics would be the way to go, or you could even try:
"Whenever CARDNAME becomes the target of an instant or sorcery spell, if it was cast from a player's hand, put a copy of CARDNAME onto the battlefield. You may then copy that spell and choose new targets for it."
Wordy and slightly odd-sounding, but it prevents infinite loops. I always disliked the Champion mechanic for being able to create infinite loops so easily.
Note that this version doesn't create duplications from spells which have been Flashbacked, Retraced, Suspended or Rebounded. It also doesn't copy Auras, which is probably a good thing too as that could cause much confusion.

Okay, okay. Read carefully:

I admit it is broken with Lightning greeves, however the idea is that when it is targeted (aka, you shoot a lightning bolt at it) it gets desperate and duplicates. I only really have a great knowledge of standard, so I didn't think about lightning greeves. Perhaps it should have "this card cannot be the target of mana abilities with a cost of 0."
That would fix most of its brokenness.
Though where did this "When ~ becomes the target of a spell, copy that spell and put a token onto the battlefield that is a copy of ~. You may choose new targets for that spell." Come from? It's not like the flavour of the original ability at all...
However I think it should be worded "When Desperate Duplicator becomes the target of a spell or ability put a copy of Desperate Duplicator into play"
This would be really fun with Act of Treason. hehe
Both cards generate infinite tokens with nomads en kor.
"this card cannot be the target of mana abilities with a cost of 0."
As far as I know, there are no mana abilities that target. If you meant "cannot be the target of abilties that cost 0", then that would strictly limit the things that can target it. For example, it can't be targeted by prodigal sorcerer. Also, that point the flavor is already beginning to suffer under the guise of overbalancing. Also, while it fixed nomans and greaves, it still is abusive with low equip things and adventuring gear. Not infinite, but 1mana to produce a token is still too much.
Very good point Mondu. Should the ability only work for your opponents abilities then? I think it wouldn't feel very desperate from my own spells, which makes sense because of the flavour, though it's flexiblity would reduce a lot.
Alternatively I could just make it that it can't be target of abilities with a cost of zero and artifact abilities (though how would I reword it right?)
I've updated them with these abilities
