Nice idea, but it wouldn't work. It opens up the planeswalker to all the critter removal. It is weaker than Ajani in its first ability, 2nd is okay but situational, and the third is huge, but the game is over by then.

Sometimes "innovation" means "stealing another's secret before anyone else can."

So it opens him to creature removals.. I don't see why it doesn't work. And Ajani's first ability is "you gain 2 life"...
Honestly... it seems rather odd to take a brand-new card type that has a unique play experience and then try to make it more like an already existing type. What's the point? Something like this is less cool than a "vanilla" planeswalker card.

that would be nutty, unless it's a pariah-planeswalker.
anyway this idea sounds like how the older planeswalkers, like Uzra go out to battle. and it's true, I can terror this planeswalker. Doesn't make too much sense. there will be have to be extra rules governing how a planeswalker would then attack, etc.
anyway it removes the aura of supremacy for planeswalkers.
Rules, mechanics, and flavor aside: How does this even fit on a card? The planeswalker abilities already use up most of the text box. The first ability would add too much text.
Also, planeswalker abilities are playable only any time you could play a sorcery ... so why would you want to play an Ethereal Haze at sorcery speed?

Nothing really wrong with that...
This starts off as a 2/2 with five loyalty. Shock deals 2 damage to it. It is a 2/2 with three loyalty and 2 damage. It dies to state based effects.
Not that that justifies making planeswalker creatures.
