Deepstrike [COST] (You may deepstrike a creature at any time you could play an instant. When a creature comes into play this way it deals 2 damage to every other creature you control.)
Weakness: COLOR (If a COLOR source would deal damage to this creature it deals double that damage instead)
notes:
Deepstrike: ya... deepstrike is a wee bit sloppily worded but you get the basic idea right? Basically you can play the creature like it had flash but it deals 2 damage to all your other creatures. The deepstrike cost is usually cheaper than the normal mana cost by anywhere from 1 to 3 mana.
Weakness: Horrid name for it but it lays what it dose quite well...
Here are some thrown together Examples-
Test Subject13WB
Creature - something neat
Fear
Deepstrike 1WB
3/4
Test Subject23RR
Creature - something on fire
Weakness: Blue (If a blue source would deal damage to this creature it deals double that damage instead)
~ has first strike as long as it's blocking or being blocked by a green creature.

Legendary Creature – Human Designer (MR)
Brian Tinsman, Set Designer can only be cast during the third set of a block.
When Brian Tinsman, Set Designer enters the battlefield, ignore all flavor and mechanics of the first two sets in the block. "Ok so what do we have here... gothic horror? Scrap it. Expand the Devine Vs. Demonic duel deck to 244 cards and print it!"

"Deep Strike" almost seems like a Warhammer 40k reference, but it could refer to anything else.
In any case, "Deep Strike" is a very narrow mechanic that would only be appropriate in red. Thus, it may be best if you just give the creature the "Flash" ability and add a text-clause concerning the two damage.
Also, "deep strike" does not need the "this way" clause, as a creature played as an instant is played anytime, so there is no way to not play it as an instant.
Eh... it is a slight 40K reference. The set has been in production since 04' and has an 'interdemensional' shift type thing going on... it's basically a set that's a bit broken but light hearted. (check out some of the beta cards I posted in the 'un thread' here which are basically little snippits and crap I felt like doing for kicks)

heh. I have a very similar mechanic in my file of cards... except it is a little more versatile. Here is how I would word it with my mechanic -- just to give you an alternate way of wording the ability:
Quicken [COST] (You may play this any time you could play an instant for its quicken cost.)
When [CARDNAME] comes into play, if you played it for its quicken cost, it deals 2 damage to each other creature you control.
I've also seen this mechanice with slightly different wordings and different names like "Accelerate." just fyi.
Weakness: COLOR (If a COLOR source would deal damage to this creature it deals double that damage instead)
Weakness: Horrid name for it but it lays what it dose quite well...
Only a partial of the anti-protection ability that pops up every now and again, with different wordings for how protection could be reversed.
Yes, Deepstrike is very red, and too narrow, in my opinion, to be a keyword. It seems like you should do like silvercut and take out the second ability, then add a drawback on the card, rather than in the keyword.
geh... the drawback was the 2 damage to every creature... I'll look into it as about 14 or so cards so far have it and even more have 'digivolve' (codename)... *moan* crud... perhaps I'll walk through the keyword dictionary here to get some ideas flowing if this crap has been done before...

It it fine if you want the damage to be includined in the keyword. I was just pointing out that you could have a little more control over the effect by seperating it into two different abilities. For example, you could have different amounts of damage for each card, and some that could deal damage to you or other players instead of to creatures.
Interesting but that would quite hinder the amount of text that is on some of the deepstriking legends and other cards with quite a few abilities... I'll toggle with it later and see if I can work it.
and as always recommendations, suggestions, advice, questions, ideas and other things are always welcome. (about the set as a whole in addition to what's listed)

I don't see "ground" and "comet" in "deepstrike."
Try to see things from different perspectives. I see how Warhammer, being the kind of space game it is with tactical jargon, can use "deepstrike," but Magic just doesn't seem like the place where this applies.
the mechanic is still codenamed as of now as I look for another name.
