As part of a series of changes to improve the forum software for mafia use, Curse has graciously offered to adjust the posts displayed per page setting for the entire mafia forum to the number of our choice. We won't be able to individually set the number - it's going to be one size fits all.
We've had a lot of players who were interested in increasing the number of posts displayed. The old default setting was 40. The old maximum setting was 90. We have an array of options spread throughout that range. Let us know what you think.
Also, if there are any other changes you'd like to see added to our wishlist of modifications, please feel free to share. Personally, I'm still holding out for a multi-quote button that can be used from the ISO search results page to make PBPAs super easy.
Definitely not okay with anything over 50. I do a lot of phoneposting, so my activity in general would decrease greatly (more than likely, especially since I've been posting less in general), especially since mobile Mafia is nearly impossible on Cobalt.
I liked when we could have 15ppp, honestly, even when I was posting from my laptop 99% of the time, so I only came to accept the current 25 grudgingly.

As mentioned, my personal preference is 50 for working out what page post numbers came from. 40 was perfectly serviceable when it was the maximum way back when.
Iso: can you lighten the load by disabling sigs and maybe avatars or something?
100 is absurd and would brick any chance that a mobile user could use this website.
50 is good for computer users and (presumably) tolerable for mobile, though I'm not sure about that. We may need to trial it at 50 and revert if it means that mobile browsing goes from "I hate my life" to "impossible."

The ads are the issue, not the amount of content. The page soft refreshes several times when you are loading the ads (as you are attempting to type in the text box) and more often than I would like results in me being redirected to the advertisement page. It's really annoying to have my on-screen keyboard drop due to a soft refresh and then accidentally end up clicking "Outside Magic" instead of some letter on the keyboard because of that and losing a post...which has also happened far more times than I would like.

Oh, another issue with so many PPP is keeping track of what I want to say on which page when I have selected a large number of quotes to respond to. And that's not just a problem that's applied to mobile, though it is exacerbated by it due to the large amounts of scrolling involved. It's very distracting.

KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

Well, I'm mostly concerned with the neverending scrolling, which was barely tolerable at 60PPP on vbulletin.
