"Is everyone signed up, Class?" Ms. Frizzle asked.
"It looks like it, Ms. Frizzle." Dorothy Ann pointed to the computer screen, showing not only the sign up list, but all the lists.

"Good job, Dorothy Ann!" Ms. Frizzle clapped. "To the bus!"
"How do we take a field trip for an internet game?" Tim asked.
"We're going into the internet!" Ms. Frizzle ushered the class outside and onto the bus. Once everyone was on board, Ms. Frizzle hit a button. "Seabelts everyone!" The bus transformed into packets of information, then zipped into the computer.
After traveling through a series of tubes, the bus reached its destination; a seemingly infinite, mostly empty, light blue room. Ralphie moaned "I think I'm gonna be sick..." The class stared as the words he said appeared above his head in a text bubble.
"Come on, you weasly wimps!" Wandi Li unbuckled herself and stepped off the bus, into a sign. "Ouch! Who put this sign here?"
"Ah, that's the rules sign. Read it carefully, class!" Ms. Frizzle smiled.

0. Ignorance is not an excuse. Know these rules and do not break them.
1. Bold your votes and unvotes please, this makes it easier for your moderator. They should look like this: Vote loran16.
2. If you are unvoting, please write Unvote loran16 rather than just Unvote as this makes the vote counts easier and more accurate.
3. Any votes or unvotes not in bold will not be counted.
4. Do not communicate at night or day unless your role PM says otherwise.
5. Do not quote PMs or you will be modkilled. You may discuss the flavor and paraphrase it in your own words, but do not quote any PMs.
6. Unvote before casting a new vote. Failure to unvote may result in the vote not being counted.
7. You may Vote: No Lynch, and a majority of these votes will end the day without a death.
8. Please do not edit or delete your posts no matter how stupid a mistake you made. This will get you modkilled. This is your only warning.
9. Once you’re dead, you’re dead, so stop posting please. A single ‘bah’ post is permissible.
10. Even after you are dead, please refrain from discussing the game or your role with anyone, even other players who have also been eliminated. If you have any questions about this rule, please ask.
11. If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 72-hour period, please post a notice to that effect in the thread. Otherwise, you may be prodded or replaced.
12. If you have a night choice to make, it is due by the posted deadline. The game will not wait for you – if you do not submit a choice in time, tough! No choice will be made.
13. Lynches will require a simple majority of votes. Once a player has reached the necessary majority, his pleas are useless and any attempts to unvote will go unheeded.
14. If you are requesting a mod prod or vote count, please bold your request so that your moderator can see it more clearly.
15. In order to keep this game moving, everyone is expected to post at least once every two to three days and if you don't, you may be replaced or modkilled WITHOUT WARNING, whatever your side.
16. In the event of a Day ending with a deadline instead of a lynch, No Lynch will occur.
17. The Town Win Condition is: You win when the mafia are dead.
18. HAVE FUN. This is not optional.
19. Lastly and most importantly: Respect us and the rest of the players; your moderator hopes to not have to modkill anyone.
Rules on Mentors, Stolen from MandersHex:
What can a mentor do?
A mentor can answer general questions the player has. They can offer advice on where a player may have messed up. They can define or explain any unfamiliar terminology the player comes across.
What can a mentor not do?
They cannot offer their own reads to the player, nor tell the player who to vote for or what to say in thread. I do not want the mentors playing through their players.
"I bet Janet will be mafia." Arnold said.
"Prove it!" Janet pointed a finger at Arnold.
"How will we know if we're town or mafia?" Keesha asked.
"Information will be beamed into our brains as to our alignment, through something called a Role PM. When we receive it, we should either beam back through a response, or shout out loud in 'the thread' - that's where we are now - that we are ready by saying /confirm. The game will start once everyone does that." Dorothy Ann explained.
A large board to the side blinked, constantly replaying past information for everyone to go over. Currently it had two things displayed across it.

"Now that everyone's confirmed, what do we do?" asked Arnold.
"Point fingers, I guess." Tim replied.
"It's time to take chances! Make mistakes! Get messy!" Ms. Frizzle declared.
Suddenly Mike McClean stumbled out of the bus. "What are you doing here?" asked Ralphie. Then Mike fell over, dead, a knife in his back. Blood pooled around him.
"I knew I should have stayed home today." Arnold backed away.

KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

Not sure if they all count as OMGUS but I second the motion. 'Fro could you pick a lilypad you like and stay on it. I know we are still in RVS with not everyone checked in after Mu officially started the game but this is a little ridiculous.
