This thread contains the results for week 1 of All Blind Tournament #2 and is the start of week 2 of ABT#2.
Week 1 of ABT#2
This round was 3CB True WUBRG.
This week, we played a WUBRG-styled week that kept us true.
You got the 5 mana, and that was it.
The Entries
01 Feyd_Ruin :: "Oddball Aggro Control" Blurred Mongoose / Chain of Vapor / Rakdos Charm My biggest problem was that Mongoose was a 2/1. I could usually deal with a single threat, but then Mongoose would either trade or lose to a second.
02 Draco9 :: "Memnite Beats" Memnite / Memnite / Reality Strobe Reality Strobe was great. I question the double memnite slightly. With two free mana, you could easily have had a strong threat, and a memnite backup.
03 Antonia :: "Lilliputian Pachyderm" Silence / Pygmy Hippo / Shinen of Fury's Fire The idea is sound, but it has a huge 3-3 syndrome against removal. The use of Shinen for the haste was very nice, as it gave you the option for a second threat.
04 Killer Of Giants :: "Terminating the T-1000" Ancient Grudge / Dryad Arbor / Liquimetal Coating I loved the coating destruction, and Arbor over Memnite was a nice choice. The deck fell a little short against permission and removal, both of which had a decent showing.
05 tomsloger :: "Jamaican Broad Thatch" Sprouting Thrinax / Force Spike / Mana Tithe Tithe/Spike was ok, but not as disruptive as you needed. Thrinax was a great threat, except for bounce.
06 faradan :: "Dream of Caliphyrexification" Chain of Vapor / Mental Misstep / Porcelain Legionnaire Legionaire was nice, especially being able to recast. Misstep proved useful, and bounce was very nice. This was a nice robust deck.
07 Reyemile :: "I;m not Certain on the Name" Lapse of Certainty / Phyrexian Dreadnaught / Stifle Stiflenaught proved stronger then expected with your Lapse backup. Lapse was a very good call. Stifle provided a few key ties when Dreadnaught couldn't seal the deal.
08 bateleur :: "Shellduck" Bazaar of Baghdad / Emrakul, the Aeons Torn / Shelldock Isle I think this deck could have gotten a good push up if you had made it a 2nd turn cast. Using Firestorm, or the like, you could ditch Emrakul turn 1, then Isle it under for a 2nd turn cast. This would have given you several more wins, and put you right at the top.
09 benbuzz790 :: "Secret of the Ooze" Bitterblossom / Bloodhall Ooze / Quasali Pridemage You scored a little under average, but I really like where you went here. Tripple threat with some control. Bloodhall could get big, but it rarely worked out that way. I agree with your call, but another aggro-control creature could have gone here and done a little better.
10 Mogg :: "Puppies" Crack the Earth / Dromar's Charm / Young Wolf Using Crack with Wolf was an epic call. Your charm call is interesting. I agree with it, but I don't recall you ever using it outside of permission.
12 TANE :: "Bittrygont Blossedatorm" Bant Charm / Bitterblossom / Trygon Predator It's fascinating that you did so well without being able to cast all 3 cards. It means you picked three very nice cards. It's also odd that you were the only person to do this. The concept looks like it could have been explored much more.
13 Lithel :: "Meeklings" Leyline of the Meek / Leyline of the Meek / Lingering Souls Hardcore straight forward beats with no disruption, and you got 3rd. I like seeing that. I wouldn't do anything different here; just hope for slightly better matchups for the top spot.
14 Parsley :: "Banished Bureaucrat of Barring" Mayor of Avabruck / Path to Exile / Prohibit Prohibit was very nice choice. It proved more useful than I'd have thought. Your other two cards were strong cards that we all forsaw, but just couldn't stop enough. Congrats on your win. It was a straightforward deck that did its job.
15 WhammWhamme :: "Sneak Attack" Through the Breach / Woodfall Primus / Worldspine Wurm Permission aside, your weak point was that both of your threats died to removal. Bounce/Exile kept them both from doing their stuff, and both had a good showing. Primus was almost never used, and would have been better served as a threat that made tokens when it enters, or had some kind of protection. I agree with your reasonings on Primus, but it just wasn't needed. Grave Titan would have made backup attackers and garnered you a few more points. Hornet Queen would be a nice control card. Not sure there's a specific answer.
16 fnord :: "Red Dawn" Bringer of the Red Dawn / Misdirection / Snapback I expected Bringer with a Leyline of Lifeforce and some no-cost disruptions (Misstep?). Misdirection/Snapback was a nice 2-card disruption package that worked better at stopping permission, since it had a multitude of other uses. Nice call.
17 AtheistGod :: "Faerie Runes" Bitterblossom / Red Elemental Blast / Rune Snag REB was an epic call. I had considered Dispel, but I think REB scores higher. Runesnag was also more useful than I had predicted. Blossom was a nice call, and the protection you packed made it stick and do its job.
18 draccon136 :: "She Who Named Karn" Blightsteel Colossus / Jhoira of the Ghitu / Mental Misstep Jhoira was awesome. Interesting in your Blightsteel call over Emrakul. It looks like they'd score about the same. Misstep was good 0 cost disruption. Maze of Ith may have done slightly better in your matchups, which seemed to be more race-oriented, although it did stop the meriad of Chains and Paths. There's a lot that could change around here, but I don't think it'd affect the score much.
19 Catmurderer :: "Grey Dawn" Bringer of the White Dawn / Leyline of Lifeforce / Staff of Domination I believe you misread the rules or misread your cards? Either that, or you're purposefully falling back for a more dramatic victory! I'm going with the 2nd.
20 VikingMetal4L :: "Revocation" Chain of Vapor / Mayor of Avabruck / Phyrexian Revoker I can usually get behind Revoker, but it's main use this round was actually just it's colorlessness made it recastable against bounce (and your own bounce to save). I think it got a chance to be disruptive once or twice this round. Porcelain Legionnaire would probably have faired a little better. The problem was that most of the activated abilities you fear cost mana, and that use wasn't viable this round. You still did well.

David and Goliath
This week, I wanted to do something very open and challenging.
Here, you get to pick how many cards you submit, but they have to have the same CMC.
And that CMC has to be equal to the number of cards you submit.
Will you go speed, or will you go brawn?
Will you be agile or will you be powerful?
Format Rules
Deck size: 1 to 4 cards (see below)

Special Rules: *Players may submit up to Four cards.

Blind Magic is an online Magic format played here on the forums. Players play with an extremely limited deck size, such as 3 cards. Players begin with their entire deck (ie: those three cards) in hand and have no library (players don't lose when they fail to draw a card because of this). Due to the extremely limited number of play options given with their small deck size, games are calculated, rather then played, with an absolute determined winner (or a tie). Each player plays a match of two games against each other player who submitted - once going first, and once going second. Wins, losses, and ties for each of those two games are calculated by the moderator and players. The actual fun of the game comes from trying to decide which cards you will be playing.
What is the All Blind Tournament?
The All Blind Tournament is a four week quadrathlon XCB tournament, which spans all card blind formats and embraces a progressive anti-metagame. For each week of the four week tournament, a new XCB format is announced for players to enter. Players compete for points (similiar to the PotM points for previous XCB games) each round. At the end of the four week tournament, the player who has accumulated the most points over the four weeks wins the tournament, and receives a real-world prize.
Tournament Prize
This tournament, Feyd_Ruin has graciously donated the prize up for grabs.
Players will be playing for a mint Thragtusk.
Player Standings
Previous standings will always be posted below the opening post of each week's thread.
Standings will be updated after the current week has been completed and score checking has finished.
Full Rules of All Blind Tournament
Below is the current full listing of all ABT rules, including the Permanent Banned list.
If you find anything confusing or need clarification, either post in thread or PM the moderator.
0. Overview
All Blind Tournament (ABT) is a four week Magic tournament, run entirely within this forum. To compete, players submit decks (following the week's guidelines) which are played against each other. Scoring assumes optimal play, without randomness or concealed information.
1. Game Rules
1.1. Except for the changes described in these rules, games follow the rules for a normal game of Magic.
1.2. Players' decks contain exactly X cards (X defined by the week's format), which begin the game in hand. Players do not mulligan or sideboard.
1.3. Players' libraries begin the game empty. A player does not lose the game as a result of being unable to draw a card.
1.4. A random effect produces the result that least benefits the owner of the source of the effect.
1.5. Each player plays two games (one match) against each other player.
1.5a. Each player is the starting player once per match.
1.5b. If no player can win, then the game is a draw.
1.5c. Games are played with perfect information.
1.5d. Games are played optimally; players attempt to win, draw, or extend the game – in that order.
1.6. Any special rules of a given week within a tournament shall overrule any applicable ABT rules given herein, so long as it is implicitly stated, or obviously implied.
2. Tournament Rules
2.1. Players submit their decks to the ABT moderator.
2.1a. Players submit their decks by private message (pm).
2.1b. A player may submit multiple decks, but only the most recent deck is counted.
2.1c. An illegal deck is not counted. At the moderator’s discretion, an illegal deck may be replaced by a similar deck – in which any offending cards have been removed or replaced.
2.1d. The moderator determines the result of each match. Players may challenge results, but not after the winner of the tournament has been announced as final.
2.1e. A player may name his or her deck. If a player does not, then the moderator may name it.
2.2. Decks are subject to some restrictions.
2.2a. A player may not submit a deck that can – against any deck – win the game or force any card(s) in an opponent's hand to change zones before the end of an opponent's first turn.
2.2b. A player may not submit a deck that can't win both games of a match against at least one deck satisfying all rules.
2.2c. A deck may include any number of any card legal in Vintage (Type 1).
2.2d. A deck may include any number of any card that will become legal in Vintage upon release of a set that has been revealed fully and officially since the start of the round.
2.2e. A deck may not include any cards on the week's banned list.
2.2f. A deck may not include any of the permanently banned cards listed in the next section.
2.3. Points determine tournament standings.
2.3a. Players are ranked – first to last – in order of decreasing number of points.
2.3b. For each match, a player earns 3 points per game win and 1 point per drawn game. However, a player earns only 2 points for a split match (a win and a loss).
2.3c. The combined result of both games in a match is called a "match result". Possible match results are: 6 – two game wins, 4 – a win and a draw, 3 or 2 or S – a win and a loss, 2 – two draws, and 1 – a draw and a loss.
2.3d. A table of match results is posted each round. Its rows represent players and its columns represent opponents. A player's points are listed at the end of his or her row.
2.4. The player with the most tournament points over the course of a tournament is the Tournament Winner.
2.4a. A tournament includes exactly four weekly rounds.
2.4b. Each round, each player receives tournament points equal to his or her average match result for that round multiplied by 100, rounded to the nearest integer.
40(For example, a player scoring 6-6-6-6-X-0-0-0 in a round with 8 decks (7 opponents) receives 340 tournament points (24 / 7 x 100).)
2.4c. At the end of the tournament, the player with the most tournament points wins.
2.4d. If two or more players are tied for the most tournament points at the end of the tournament, a special tie breaker round will take place to determine a single winner.
40Only the tied players will play during the round, and rules and formats are at the moderators discretion.
3. Prize Rules
3.1. A prize shall be given to the tournament winner.
3.1a. The winner of the tournament shall be given the prize described within the tournament, or a suitable replacement upon the tournament's end.
3.1b. The Tournament Winner may decline the prize. If so, the tournament winner may designate the prize to be given to another player.
3.1c. Players under the age of 18 are ineligible for prizes, due to federal laws regarding the sharing of personal information of minors.
3.1d. If the winning player was a moderator in two or more weeks of the tournament, the prize shall instead be given to the player coming in 2nd. This is to ensure fair play.
3.1e. In the event a prize cannot be given to a player, the moderator will do his best to find another suitable way to reward the player.
3.1f. No prize is 100% guaranteed, but is assumed upon a good faith basis. Lets face it, with international customs, weird laws, etc, we cannot guarantee anything. We'll do our best.
3.2. As a Prized Tournament, special scoring rules and practices are in place.
3.2a. Players are responsible for their own scoring. Assistance will be given, especially to new players, but it is ultimately up to each player to ensure his or her scoring is completed and accurate.
3.2b. Incomplete scores are considered losses, even to both players of a match if necessary. This is to make sure a winner is determined at the end of a tournament.
3.2c. The Moderator always has the final word regarding scores and rules. Players may question any scoring the moderator does, until the moderator says that a match's scoring is final.
3.2d. The Moderator may, at his or her discretion, determine a match is too difficult to calculate and give it a tie score, or his or her best guess. Again, this is final.
3.2e. Once a winner has been announced as final, that player shall receive the prize, even if errors in scoring or points are shown later.
Permanently Banned Cards
The following cards are permanently banned in the All Blind Tournament.
Each round will have an additional banned list that extends beyond, but always includes, these cards.
This tournament, you are playing for a mint Thragtusk!
Starcity Games is currently selling them for $25, and they're sold out at that price!
Maybe not a Black Lotus, but it's definitely a prize worth fighting for!
We're still currently really light on players, so please make sure and join / grab friends / etc.
I'd like to keep a ~20 player average to keep up the decent prizes.
Some facts of magic:
-Terror is an emotion which, when experienced, results in death.
-The pox was a disease notorious for having killed one-third, rounded up, of Europe’s population. Smallpox, on the other hand, killed only a single person.
-A person riding a horse cannot be stopped by foot soldiers, large animals, walls, archers, or even catapults.

I have a lot of corrections, I suspect my line was calculated assuming Lingering Souls don't have flying.
13 Lithel :: "Meeklings"
Leyline of the Meek / Leyline of the Meek / Lingering Souls
vs
---
01 Feyd_Ruin :: "Oddball Aggro Control"
Blurred Mongoose / Chain of Vapor / Rakdos Charm
Listed: 6-0, Agreed
Interesting fact, Rakdos Charm can't be used to prevent the flashback. Priority allows me to recast the flashback right after the main spell resolves. I don't actually need it in this matchup, but I thought it was interesting.
02 Draco9 :: "Memnite Beats"
Memnite / Memnite / Reality Strobe
Listed: 6-0, Agreed
Four 3/3 fliers kill before realyity strobe even hits play once.
03 Antonia :: "Lilliputian Pachyderm"
Silence / Pygmy Hippo / Shinen of Fury's Fire
Listed: 0-6, Agreed
Bah, I should've done a search for other things that empty mana pools. =) I did consider Silence + <stuff> to prevent the counterspell (and slow down decks like mine by a turn)
04 Killer Of Giants :: "Terminating the T-1000"
Ancient Grudge / Dryad Arbor / Liquimetal Coating
Listed: 6-0, Agreed
He can kill 2 of my 4 guys, but the other 2 easily race.
05 tomsloger :: "Jamaican Broad Thatch"
Sprouting Thrinax / Force Spike / Mana Tithe
Listed: 0-6, Suggested: 6-0
I cast Lingering souls and simply pay for the spike and/or Tithe the first time. It gives me 2 flying 3/3s which outrace the ground 3/3.
06 faradan :: "Dream of Caliphyrexification"
Chain of Vapor / Mental Misstep / Porcelain Legionnaire
Listed: 2-2, Suggested: 6-0
I don't see how we can tie. I'm guessing that my deck was calculated without flying? Anyway, three flying 3/3s easily outrace a 3/1 first striker.
07 Reyemile :: "I Don't Remember the Name"
Lapse of Certainty / Phyrexian Dreadnaught / Stifle
Listed: 0-6, Agreed
Lapse of Certainty! Wow, I didn't even realize there was another playable "counter, but on top of deck" spell. =) Definitely kills my flashback.
08 bateleur :: "Shellduck"
Bazaar of Baghdad / Emrakul, the Aeons Torn / Shelldock Isle
Listed: 0-6, Suggested: 3-3
I can deal kill before his 3rd turn when I'm on the play. I can't on the draw and get annihilatored during his extra turn.
09 benbuzz790 :: "Secret of the Ooze"
Bitterblossom / Bloodhall Ooze / Quasali Pridemage
Listed: 0-6, Suggested: 3-3
I can outrace on the play, not quite on the draw.
L1: Lingering Souls, flashback lingering souls
B1: Play Pridemage and Bitterblossom. Use Pridemage to kill a Leyline.
L2: Attack with 4 souls (B12)
B2: Put a 2/2 fairy into play (B11).
L2: Attack with 4 souls, 1 trades with fairy (B5).
B3: Put a 2/2 fairy into play (B4).
L3: Attack with 3 souls, 1 trades with fairy. Dies.
He could also try to play everything out, but he dies even faster that way.
10 Mogg :: "Puppies"
Crack the Earth / Dromar's Charm / Young Wolf
Listed: 6-0, Agreed
Charm counters a spell, crack kills one more (and gives him a 2/2). 3/3 flier outraces.
11 Naphtali :: "The Maelstrom"
Emrakul, The Aeon's Torn / Maelstrom Archangel / Maze of Ith
Listed: 0-6, Suggested: 3-3
Souls can't make it through the archangel, so they sit back to block instead. Archangle can't make it through souls.
12 TANE :: "Bittrygont Blossedatorm"
Bant Charm / Bitterblossom / Trygon Predator
Listed: 0-6, Suggested: 3-3
He can only use one of Bant Charm or Predator. Bant kills 1 guy. Predator disables 1 guy (I have to hold it back to block. Bant seems better.
L1: Lingering Souls, Flashback Lingering souls
B1: Play Bitterblossom, Bant charm to put a spirit on the bottom of deck.
L2: Attack for 9 (B11)
B2: Put a fairy into play (B10).
L3: Attack for 6, fairy trades with a spirit (B4)
B3: Put a fairy into play (B3)
L4: Attack for 3, dies.
14 Parsley :: "Banished Bureaucrat of Barring"
Mayor of Avabruck / Path to Exile / Prohibit
Listed: 0-6, Suggested: 6-0
Prohibit can't target Souls unless he kicks it. Mayor loses to 3 Souls even on the play.
15 WhammWhamme :: "Sneak Attack"
Through the Breach / Woodfall Primus / Worldspine Wurm
Listed: 0-6, Agreed
16 fnord :: "Red Dawn"
Bringer of the Red Dawn / Misdirection / Snapback
Suggested: 6-0
Souls outraces, even when Bringer is on the play
B1: Bringer
L1: Souls, flashback souls. Snapback a soul.
B2: Take control of 1 soul, can't attack with Bringer since it would be double blocked and killed. Attack with spirit (L17)
L2: Attack with 3 spirits (B11)
B3: Take control of 1 soul, attack with both for 8 (L9)
L3: Attack with 3 spirits (B2)
B4: Take control of 1 soul, attack with both for 8 (L1)
L4: Attack and win
17 AtheistGod :: "Faerie Runes"
Bitterblossom / Red Elemental Blast / Rune Snag
Suggeested: 0-6
Rune Snag means I only get 2 tokens. BB beats 2 tokens.
18 draccon136 :: "She Who Named Karn"
Blightsteel Colossus / Jhoira of the Ghitu / Mental Misstep
Suggested: 6-0
Misstep can't target lingering. Suspend 4 is way too long to survive the spirits.
19 Catmurderer :: "Grey Dawn"
Bringer of the White Dawn / Leyline of Lifeforce / Staff of Domination
Suggested: 6-0
Staff of Domination? Is that a mistake? Souls outrace a single bringer.
20 VikingMetal4L :: "Revocation"
Chain of Vapor / Mayor of Avabruck / Phyrexian Revoker
Suggested: 6-0
Revoker doesn't work on Flashback. Gets outraced.
M1: Mayor, Revoker
L1: 4 souls, vapor 1 on them
M2: Can't attack
L2: Attack for 9 (M11)
M3: During upkeep, Mayor flips. Attack for 5 (L15). Put a token into play at eot.
L3: Attack for 9 (M2)
M4: Attack for 10 (L5)
L4: Attack and win.
On the play, Silence/Hasty Hippo shuts him down completely. On the draw, he can't beat two creatures, only draw with them, so it's a draw. 4-1
02 Draco9 vs Antonia:
Listed: 1-4
Should be: 2-2
Silence can make Reality strobe never unsuspend, play OR draw (respond to the trigger). OTOH, the two 1/1's trade with the Hippo if it goes for the beatdown, so there's an eternal staredown.
12 TANE vs Antonia:
Listed: 0-6
Should be: 3-3
Silence stops the removal spell/counterspell from being relevant on the play, and then Hippo deactivates his mana. On the draw a resolved Bitterblossom wins.
01 Feyd_Ruin – Blurred Mongoose / Chain of Vapor / Rakdos Charm
vs.
20 VikingMetal4L – Chain of Vapor / Mayor of Avabruck / Phyrexian Revoker
2-2 -> 6-0: Chain saves Revoker from Charm, but VM4L can't cast Revoker a third time if Feyd_Ruin bounces it.
07 Reyemile – Lapse of Certainty / Phyrexian Dreadnaught / Stifle
vs.
20 VikingMetal4L – Chain of Vapor / Mayor of Avabruck / Phyrexian Revoker
0-6 -> 6-0: Lapse counters Chain. Dreadnought wins.
08 bateleur – Bazaar of Baghdad / Emrakul, the Aeons Torn / Shelldock Isle
vs.
20 VikingMetal4L – Chain of Vapor / Mayor of Avabruck / Phyrexian Revoker
0-6 -> 6-0: Revoker can't name lands.
18 draccon136 – Blightsteel Colossus / Jhoira of the Ghitu / Mental Misstep
vs.
20 VikingMetal4L – Chain of Vapor / Mayor of Avabruck / Phyrexian Revoker
6-0 -> 0-6: Jhoira and Revoker trade but Mayor and tokens do 18 damage before Colossus can even be cast.
Feyd, it looks like your forgot Dreadnaught tramples? Several of my losses seem to be to an infinite number of chump blockers (bitterblossom, mayor) which I don't actually care about!
7 v. 1: 2-2
Lapse counters Mongoose, which can't be recast; Rakdos Charm kills my threat. Draw.No countering Mongoose; whoops! No change.
7 v. 8: 4-1
On the play, I kill with Dreadnaught on turn 3, before he untaps with Shelldock. On the draw, I stifle Emrakul's reshuffle trigger, leaving it stranded in the graveyard and forcing a tie.
7 v. 12: 6-0
Lapse counters Bant Charm or Trygon (he can't cast both in one game). Dreadnaught tramples over Blossom.
7 vs. 14: 2-2
Prohibit + path is two answers to my only threat, so I can never stick it. But Parsley can't resolve his threat either; he needs to kick prohibit to counter Lapse, which he can't do if he's already spent two mana on Mayor.
7 v. 16: 1-4
On the play: I lead with dreadnaught/stifle. If Fnord casts Bringer, I will race (swing for 12, get swung back for 17, swing for lethal, countering Snapback with Lapse at any point.) So instead, Fnord casts snapback for mana, draws it next turn after it's Lapsed, and casts it again by pitching Misdirection. Game is a draw.
On the draw, Misdirection counters my lapse, and playing Dreadnaught just kills me faster.
7 v. 17: 2-2 6-0
I pay for rune snag, ignore REB, and trample over Bitterblossom for the win, play or draw.
REB can counter Stifle. I lapse blossom and pay for Snage, play or draw, for the tie.
7 v. 18: 6-0
I Stiflenaught turn 1, and lapse Mental Mistep; Dreadnaught tramples, so even on the draw, Jhoira chumping doesn't stop the kill before Colossus can resolve.
7 v. 20: 6-0
Counter Chain with Lapse, trample Viking to death before mayor can get out of hands.
I have a lot of corrections, I suspect my line was calculated assuming Lingering Souls don't have flying.

Corrections to my line (10):
01 Feyd_Ruin – Blurred Mongoose / Chain of Vapor / Rakdos Charm
vs.
10 Mogg – Crack the Earth / Dromar's Charm / Young Wolf
I hold.
You cast wolf to break the stalemate
I Chain -> You Charm it.
I cast Mongoose.
Swing trades means I race, so you either sit or crack.
You crack to break the stalemate.
I sac, you sac, Undying triggers.
Here's the trick that makes let's me tie it out.
I use Rakdos charm to exile your GY irsp.
The Undying ability won't track it across multiple zones, so it's gone.
I work hard and get the tie.
All other corrections for you are agreed.
All other corrections for others agreed.
Feyd, it looks like your forgot Dreadnaught tramples? Several of my losses seem to be to an infinite number of chump blockers (bitterblossom, mayor) which I don't actually care about![/spoiler]
I made a lot of errors this round.
I blame it on the sickness.
Feyd_Ruin, have you given any serious thought to how difficult this week will be to score? I can't imagine that it's correct to play any fewer than three cards. I may be underestimating the simplifying effect of having all cards at the same mana cost, but I'm worried that many of the matches will have significant complexity.
Of course, I may be wrong, but it doesn't seem too late to think about changes that would simplify the scoring. I don't know what those changes might be; I just wanted to speak my mind as soon as possible so you'd have a chance to see this.

Maybe not a Black Lotus, but it's definitely a prize worth fighting for!
We're still currently really light on players, so please make sure and join / grab friends / etc.
I'd like to keep a ~20 player average to keep up the decent prizes.

Unrelated question: I'm currently an "Archmage Overlord" because I post so much... how many posts do I need to be able to edit it like yours Feyd?

oh hm. I assume so.
thats what I calculated it as, without actually pulling it up by name
I'll fix it.
Also.. I'm not positive on the format I have for this round.
But.. I guess it could be interesting.
....it came to me in a dream...

13 Lithel :: "Meeklings"
Leyline of the Meek / Leyline of the Meek / Lingering Souls
vs
---
01 Feyd_Ruin :: "Oddball Aggro Control"
02 Draco9 :: "Memnite Beats"
Memnite / Memnite / Reality Strobe
Listed: 6-0, Agreed
Four 3/3 fliers kill before realyity strobe even hits play once.
03 Antonia :: "Lilliputian Pachyderm"
07 Reyemile :: "I Don't Remember the Name"
Lapse of Certainty / Phyrexian Dreadnaught / Stifle
Listed: 0-6, Agreed
Lapse of Certainty! Wow, I didn't even realize there was another playable "counter, but on top of deck" spell. =) Definitely kills my flashback.
08 bateleur :: "Shellduck"
Bazaar of Baghdad / Emrakul, the Aeons Torn / Shelldock Isle
Listed: 0-6, Suggested: 3-3
I can deal kill before his 3rd turn when I'm on the play. I can't on the draw and get annihilatored during his extra turn.
09 benbuzz790 :: "Secret of the Ooze"
Bitterblossom / Bloodhall Ooze / Quasali Pridemage
Listed: 0-6, Suggested: 3-3
I can outrace on the play, not quite on the draw.
Crack the Earth / Dromar's Charm / Young Wolf
Listed: 6-0, Agreed
Charm counters a spell, crack kills one more (and gives him a 2/2). 3/3 flier outraces.
11 Naphtali :: "The Maelstrom"
Emrakul, The Aeon's Torn / Maelstrom Archangel / Maze of Ith
Listed: 0-6, Suggested: 3-3
Souls can't make it through the archangel, so they sit back to block instead. Archangle can't make it through souls.
12 TANE :: "Bittrygont Blossedatorm"
Bant Charm / Bitterblossom / Trygon Predator
Listed: 0-6, Suggested: 3-3
He can only use one of Bant Charm or Predator. Bant kills 1 guy. Predator disables 1 guy (I have to hold it back to block. Bant seems better.
Mayor of Avabruck / Path to Exile / Prohibit
Listed: 0-6, Suggested: 6-0
Prohibit can't target Souls unless he kicks it. Mayor loses to 3 Souls even on the play.
15 WhammWhamme :: "Sneak Attack"
Through the Breach / Woodfall Primus / Worldspine Wurm
Listed: 0-6, Agreed
16 fnord :: "Red Dawn"
Bringer of the Red Dawn / Misdirection / Snapback
Suggested: 6-0
Souls outraces, even when Bringer is on the play
L1: Souls, flashback souls. Snapback a soul.
B2: Take control of 1 soul, can't attack with Bringer since it would be double blocked and killed. Attack with spirit (L17)
L2: Attack with 3 spirits (B11)
B3: Take control of 1 soul, attack with both for 8 (L9)
L3: Attack with 3 spirits (B2)
B4: Take control of 1 soul, attack with both for 8 (L1)
L4: Attack and win
Bitterblossom / Red Elemental Blast / Rune Snag
Suggeested: 0-6
Rune Snag means I only get 2 tokens. BB beats 2 tokens.
18 draccon136 :: "She Who Named Karn"
Blightsteel Colossus / Jhoira of the Ghitu / Mental Misstep
Suggested: 6-0
Misstep can't target lingering. Suspend 4 is way too long to survive the spirits.
19 Catmurderer :: "Grey Dawn"
Bringer of the White Dawn / Leyline of Lifeforce / Staff of Domination
Suggested: 6-0
Staff of Domination? Is that a mistake? Souls outrace a single bringer.
20 VikingMetal4L :: "Revocation"
Chain of Vapor / Mayor of Avabruck / Phyrexian Revoker
Suggested: 6-0
Revoker doesn't work on Flashback. Gets outraced.
L1: 4 souls, vapor 1 on them
M2: Can't attack
L2: Attack for 9 (M11)
M3: During upkeep, Mayor flips. Attack for 5 (L15). Put a token into play at eot.
L3: Attack for 9 (M2)
M4: Attack for 10 (L5)
L4: Attack and win.

01 Feyd Ruin vs Antonia:
Listed: 3-3
Should be: 4-1
On the play, Silence/Hasty Hippo shuts him down completely.
Corrections to my line (10):
01 Feyd_Ruin – Blurred Mongoose / Chain of Vapor / Rakdos Charm
vs.
10 Mogg – Crack the Earth / Dromar's Charm / Young Wolf
2-2 -> 0-6: Charm counters Chain. Crack kills Mongoose.
03 Antonia – Silence / Pygmy Hippo / Shinen of Fury's Fire
vs.
10 Mogg – Crack the Earth / Dromar's Charm / Young Wolf
3-3 -> 4-1: If I attack, then I can only block if I untap my wolf by killing it with Crack or Charm. Then, combat with Hippo kills Wolf for good.
09 benbuzz790 – Bitterblossom / Bloodhall Ooze / Quasali Pridemage
vs.
10 Mogg – Crack the Earth / Dromar's Charm / Young Wolf
2-2 -> 6-0: Charm counters Bitterblossom and Crack kills Ooze, but 3/3 exalted Pridemage is bigger than 2/2 Wolf.

2-2No countering Mongoose; whoops! No change.Lapse counters Mongoose, which can't be recast; Rakdos Charm kills my threat. Draw.
7 v. 17: 2-2
6-0
I pay for rune snag, ignore REB, and trample over Bitterblossom for the win, play or draw.
REB can counter Stifle. I lapse blossom and pay for Snage, play or draw, for the tie.
7 v. 18: 6-0
I Stiflenaught turn 1, and lapse Mental Mistep; Dreadnaught tramples, so even on the draw, Jhoira chumping doesn't stop the kill before Colossus can resolve.
7 v. 20: 6-0
Counter Chain with Lapse, trample Viking to death before mayor can get out of hands.
Whoops, got the card name wrong--yeah, that's the one.
1 vs. 7: Mongoose can't be countered.
7 vs. 17: REB counters Stifle.

I went with Bitterblossom over Mayor of Avabruck because of Path to Exile, it looks like Mayor may have done better.
Doesn't 19 beat 05 6-0? Leyline blanks both counters and 5/5 Trample > Sprouting Thrinax.

For next week...I'm not even really sure where to start. This should be interesting.
Of course, I may be wrong, but it doesn't seem too late to think about changes that would simplify the scoring. I don't know what those changes might be; I just wanted to speak my mind as soon as possible so you'd have a chance to see this.
