+1 Phyrexian Tower
+1 Oran-Rief, the Vastwood
-1 Forbidden Orchard
-1 Tranquil Thicket
A sac outlet is always useful if someone has like a path for your ooze. These lands also work well with the Primus
+1 Woodfall Primus
+1 Viscera Seer
-1 Wirewood Herald
-1 Wild Mongrel
Primus is a secondary wincon if you lose the ooze or your graveyard gets exiled.
-1 Woodland Guidance
+1 Mind Twist
Discarding someone's hand usually puts you pretty far ahead.
-1 Sakura-Tribe Elder
+1 Hermit Druid
This guy makes cascade seem like a fair mechanic
Manabase Revamp
Down to 1 basic because Hermit Druid is ridiculously good.
+1 Worldly tutor
-1 Dimir House Guard
Hermit Druid is something worth searching for.
-1 Forest
+1 Dryad Arbor
Just something else to pitch to Survival/Skullclamp/etc.
-1 Necromancy
-1 Dread Return
-1 Dance of the Dead
+1 Life // Death
+1 Woodland Guidance
+1 Myr Propagator
Too many reanimate spells when its more important to get back Survival when it dies. Life // Death doesn't have a CIPT clause so its better than Dance. And the Propagator is for those multiplayer games where just sending one 9001/9000 trampling ooze at one opponent just isn't good enough.
-1 Bitterblossom
+1 Nature's Claim
The infamous faerie generator doesn't actually do very much in this deck.
-1 Worldly Tutor
+1 Duress
Its rare that I would want to sacrifice a draw step for any of my creatures.
-1 Creeping Corrosion
+1 Wickerbough Elder
Easier to tutor for and is more than just a 1-shot deal.
I built this deck mostly with the intention of creating a B/G Necrotic Ooze combo deck for EDH. Sapling appeared to be a good general since drawing cards seemed like a good thing most of the time.
For the sake of not listing the combination of practically any 2 cards, I have only listed those that instantly win the game.
I'm mostly looking for suggestions for potential cards and combos I may have overlooked before I invest in some of the costlier cards. Thanks for the feedback!
Crucible of Worlds and Braids are both banned.
idk if this is your casual where you guys are cool with them but if not you cant use them.
I dont get the point of the Necrotic Ooze in the deck really, i mean it has some synergy with creatures you're pitching but it doesnt interact with Sapling. Ooze can only use activated abilities, sapling's are triggered abilities that happen when she attacks.
Personally I think the Ooze combo works best in UBG if not WUBRG since it gives you added resiliency, redundancy, and consistency. The most efficient (fastest) way to get your combo going is by utilizing Hermit Druid but that requires that you skip on the basic lands entirely (which becomes significantly easier in a 3 or 5 color shell). You may also want to consider Wickerbough Elder which combos with Devoted Druid to machine-gun problematic artifacts and/or enchantments and Molten-Tail Masticore as an alternate win condition that doesn't require attacking and is more solid on its own than the Bloodrite Invoker.
@forgedinhell
As far as I am informed, Crucible and Braids (non-general) are legal according to official ban lists.
And yeah, this deck is completely centered on the ooze. Sapling is only there for the colors, and the occasional card draw in case you get mind twisted or something.
@Miscalcul8edRisk
I did realize restricting myself to only BG may weaken the deck in terms of options, but that is mostly a budget issue for me. That and I didn't want to be overwhelmed by all the possibilities since I'm rather new to deck building. Wickerbough Elder is something I missed and will definitely try to find a spot for. As for Molten-Tail Masticore, I had him in an earlier build and found that in graveyard, Bloodrite Invoker is just so much better and easier to combo with. You also have to consider that this list doesn't even run enough creatures to burn out 3 other players

I built this deck mostly with the intention of creating a B/G Necrotic Ooze combo deck for EDH. Sapling appeared to be a good general since drawing cards seemed like a good thing most of the time.
Primary combos are:
Hermit Druid = Just win the game already
Devoted Druid + Grim Popper = Infinite Green Mana + Creature Kill + Untaps
Devoted Druid + Quillspike + Thornling = Infinite Power Trample Haste
Devoted Druid + Wickerbough Elder = Infinite Naturalizes
Greenweaver Druid + Pili-Pala = Infinite Colored Mana + Untaps
Phyrexian Devourer + Triskelion = 40+ damage
Infinite Mana + Bloodrite Invoker = Infinite Life Drain
Infinite Mana + Myr Propagator + Thornling = Better than Infinite Goblins
Non-ooze Combos
Woodfall Primus + Quillspike + Viscera Seer = 1-mana destroy non-creature permanent (+ scry 1 XD)
Devoted Druid + Quillspike = Infinite Power
For the sake of not listing the combination of practically any 2 cards, I have only listed those that instantly win the game.

Helix Pinnacle is a fun card, but its just not easily tutorable. I'd rather not waste one of my unconditional tutors on it.
