I was wondering if anyone else still played this game. I just recentley started to play again(Got bored power was out and....you get the picture) and I got kind of addicted to it again like I did back when I was 6 in 1999.
And as for getting guys onto the battlefield from library for 0 mana, it's obviously a TRAP CARD!! Dun dun dun! "When bad stuff happens, sac some lands or discard some cards to convince Megatron or inky to help you out.

A TAS uses an emulator and then feeds it precise player inputs with frame precision to do exact things and control things like the pseudo-random number generators and the variables that load.
So what happens in this video is he starts saving and at a precise moment hits reset, corrupting the save data just right. On load, he moves into an area, goes into the items, which are now trying to load the wrong kind of data with corrupted results, selects the right one. Goes into a battle. Starts going through the menu again, loading the wrong kind of data again, manipulating the variables so that when the battle ends, the variable for where he is has changed to be the Hall of Fame. The game assumes that if you're there, you've won, and so You Win!!

I have a similar problem with saves on Yellow, which I had on -2- Yellow cartridges. It's not that the save is corrupted. It just doesn't save. Probably the memory battery gone dead or something.
Still, I don't know if I could get back into it. There's too much in the new Pokemon games that I enjoy to go back to the stone age.
I think thats why I like the game aswell. atleast in Heart Gold and Soul Silver you can have any pokemon follow you around.
@Nai: Yes it is a save battery problem odd thing is I had almost the exact same saved game for nine years without a problem but if you did wish to play it is an easy fix.Where if you google the problem suficient answers should come up as the first results.

We live in a country were ~50% of the populace believe public schooling is a socialist conspiracy and that being called Einstein is an insult. We could try and fix it, but unfortunately the other 50% don't believe in euthanasia.

I still have my yellow and my red! I play red every now and then, but I was never a big fan of yellow. I hated how pika wouldn't evolve. Red, on the other hand, gave us the missing no., and infinite master balls and candies!

This thread makes me sad.:( Yellow has always been my favorite game out of all of them (I loved the color palette, the fact that each town had its own color, the quirky minigames and show-inspired gimmicks), the way you could get a lot of pokémon you normally couldn't... I got almost ALL (I think all but Ruby) my games stolen by a ghetto kid who went into my house.
Well, I still have Crystal, but I think the battery died (hey, it's been quite more than 7 years, I've heard that's a memory bettery's lifespan), because it erased my previous file (I had just passed Mewtwo to it), so I basically did what I had sadly predicted: leave the games in my vault of memories after the battery wouldn't save anymore.:p
But this all makes me even more excited for HeartGold and SoulSilver, those I'll definitely get, and they're something like objectively the best generation... perhaps for the fact alone that you could travel to two different Regions.:D
Yeah I think they look really cool I think you can go to serebii.net or something like that and look at the sofar spoiler details. I know that these games come out in japan in eleven days and in the us in like 3-6 months.

The deciding factor for this for me are going to be which Pokemon are exclusive to what version. So I am waiting on the Japanese version with baited breath.

Hmm, I haven't played one of the new games in sooo long. I might look into getting one of these just for the pokemon following you around.
