I made this for one of the game threads. I think it could see play in the current environment. Is it any good though?
(V1) Basement Horde1BB
Enchantment (R)
When Basement Horde enters the battlefield, search
your library for three zombie creature cards and exile
them, then shuffle.
When a nontoken zombie creature you control dies,
you may put one of the cards exiled by Basement
Horde onto the battlefield.
After Edit - added a CMC restriction

your library for three zombie creature cards and exile
them, then shuffle.
When a nontoken zombie creature you control dies,
you may put one of the cards exiled by Basement
Horde with converted mana cost equal to that creature
onto the battlefield.

If I were to change it, I would probably go into a direction of:

Enchantment R
At the end of each turn, if three or more non-Zombie creatures died this turn, sacrifice ~. If you do, search your library for up to three Zombie creature cards and put them onto the battlefield.
I originally misread your card and liked the anti-tribal idea I thought you introduced in the original card; so I played with that part and kept the numbers for now.
Finding the correct cost might be a challenge - the tutoring alone means card advantage and card quality. I don't think the hoops of getting enough creatures to die at once as a prerequisite are enough to make a converted mana cost of 3 the right place for this card.
Your original card is to easily activated and needs to cost at least five mana to account for the cards you could get out of this, more since you can skip mana costs as you please.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

Taking in all the input, and I appreciate it. I edited in a CMC restriction as I think it keeps the card powerful enough it's not ignored in the set - but restricted enough you don't have a turn 3 Thrax (easily).
^ @Secret - I actually really like your above version of BAsement. However it seems like a "win more" card.
If you are playing Zombies (obviously if you are going to tutor for them) - then triggering when 3 NON-zobies (your opponents creatures likely) die seems like you are getting 3 free creatures when you are already winning.

Custom Card / Set Reviewer
When reviewing custom cards / sets, I look for (a) flavour, (b) function, and (c) cohesiveness, generally through a risk focus.
It's a three-time Pattern of Rebirth thingy.

Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."
