The cards themselves seem like "build around me" cards. It's an interesting idea though.

*cycles Decree of Pain* Sad thing about the overrun suggestion is that then your 4/4 guy is now 7/7 and terrorable.
I like these cards a lot. I like the interaction with the lower PTs because it feels like a tradeoff. "what you lack in beef you gain in speed and evasion*
nice! Though the white and green ones don't work due to layering. This is the reason that Mosstodon has an activated ability rather than simply granting trample. There was a magicthegathering.com article on it.
I really don't like Plaguebringer Colonel as is for the simple fact that Black's 3/3's tend to be Uncommon or Rare, or cost 5+ mana. Now if it was a 2/2 for 2BB and allowed you to sac 2/2's for -2/-2 I would like it much better. It all depends on the set I guess. Put it in a set with cards like Viscera Dragger and you're okay, but often the black creature design space doens't leave a lot of room for 3/3's you're happy to sacrifice.
Creature — Human Soldier

Lavarider Colonel - 3R
Creature — Human Warrior
1R: Target 3/1 creature you control gains double strike until end of turn.
3/1
Sapdrinker Colonel - 3GG
Creature — Human Warrior

The black and green boys are ridiculous in limited.
Are these rare?

Rakka Maris tokens love the red one too.
Sharding Sphinx tokens love the blue one.

The blue one seems to be very very good. Too good maybe..

Maybe I can solve this by making the cards a bit more efficient and granting them activated abilities?
Anyway, thanks for the comments, everyone.
