The Alphabetical Winner is Judge Game
(or, From Absolution to Zap)
Yeah, yeah. Plenty of other WiJ games out there. This... is a little different. Rather than just being WiJ, this is also an Alphabetical Card Game. As such, here's the rules:
1. Submit an entry that fits the current criteria along with a suggestion for the next challenge (an "IIW"). Your card must begin with the next letter in the alphabet relative to the previous card. First card of the game? You're starting it with an A.
2. If you win, you are the judge for the next round. Judge no later than after 26 entries to your round.
3. If there have been 26 entries (that is, one for each letter of the alphabet, regardless of where you started), entries are automatically closed for this round and you may snipe at the judge for being slow.
4. If you're the judge, evaluate all of the entries and choose the best one.
5. Joke entries must be clearly marked as such. This is so that we don't tie up letters unnecessarily with joke entries - that is, if a joke entry comes immediately after an entry starting with M, the next real entry still starts with N.
6. Unlike the original Alphabetical Card Game, there's no restriction to what color or colors your cards are.
7. If you want your IIW to require multiple cards (or cards with multiple names), state whether those names must all start with the same letter, with consecutive letters, or if only the first name is checked (and the rest can begin with any letter of the entrant's choice).

Creature - Human Rogue (C) W,T: Prevent all combat damage that would be dealt to and by target creature until end of turn.

Lol, so the only difference is the alphabet restriction? And do we start back at A on the next challenge?
And I just realized that I'm supposed to be judging a WIJ that no one has posted in for about 2 weeks, so we'll just say that that died.

Highlands Sniper 3R
Creature - Human Gunsman C
First Strike RR, :symtap:: Highlands Sniper deals damage equal to it's power to target creature.

Flabort: "No! Not into the [DINNER] pit! IT BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRNS!"
Atrius: "Instant and sorcery spells", but otherwise okay.

Sometimes it seems like this is like trying to get people to count to ten on /b/. Therefore, consider this my interjection of "frosted butts" after seven people post "4" consecutively.
Hey guys, I will judge sometime this afternoon. Also, sorry to all you guys with disqualified entrys (I really liked a couple of them), so I'm gonna give you a chance to resubmit.

Like I said, I can only go by my own experience, which is now 18 years. Kind of disheartening when you think you know something and you find out that you're a notch below a low grade moron.
Intrepid Homarid1U
Creature - Homarid
Whenever Intrepid Homarid becomes blocked by a creature, it gets +4/-3 until end of turn.
0/4
I like this one, very flavorful. It can sit there in its shell all day, but if someone blocks it, it goes berserk, but leaves itself vulnerable in the process! My main complaint is that since it has 0 toughness, your opponent has no incentive to block, so you have to use external sources to make him work. Still a solid 8/10
Jace's Homarid3UU
Creature - Homarid Wizard (U)
Whenever you draw a card, put a tide counter on Jace's Homarid.
Remove a Tide Counter from Jace's Homarid: You may tap or untap target permanent.
2/1
Dies to hornet sting. 0/10
No but really, I like the design. I probably would have made it "nonland permanent." I feel like this should be rare though, because with one draw per turn you can use it to tap a creature down for as long as you want, give a creature you control vigilance as long as you want, or use it as ramp by untapping your lands. But, I love the synergy that it has with the jace planeswalkers (especially the ultimate on Jace, Memory adept. Also, with Jace TMS, this thing just goes insane.)
Also, a very nice use of the "J" name, so I give this 9/10
Legless Homarid1U
Creature - Homarid
Defender
Legless Homarid can't lose defender unless you control another Homarid not named Legless Homarid.
2/4
Clever clever. A better wording would be "Legless Homarid loses defender as long as you control another Homarid...", since with the current wording it never actually loses the defender on its own. I love the idea of a dormant Homarid though, and the card itself engourages HOMARID TRIBAL (OH GAWD). 8.5/10
Nipper Homarid1U
Creature - Homarid (common)
As long as it's your turn, Nipper Homarid gets +1/+0.
As long as it's not your turn, Nipper Homarid gets +0/+1.
1/1
It can attack for 2 and block 1/1s all day long. Me likey. I'm gonna give you a bonus because of your dedication to the way of the Homarid. 9/10
Purple People Eaters1U Creature - Homarid [r] T: Destroy target blue or red Human. It can't be regenerated. Put a +1/+1 counter on Purple People Eaters.
1/3
This made me laugh. Pure genius lol. I like how you conveniently left out the flying on this one . So very flavor of it, its just so very... win. Sadly it doesn't seem like it would be that useful, but even as I'm typing this I'm having wild fantasies of trolling delver decks and rw human aggro with this while the B-52s are playing in the background. 9/10
