Each player sacrifses all creatures he or she controls. Spoils - If you control more permanents than an opponent, Put a */* black avatar token on the battlefield with "This creatures strenght and toughness are both equal to the number of cards in your hand" and "at the beginning of your upkeep, you lose life equal to this creatures toughness"

Velthun may be long dead, but his successors still keep his power and influence.

That said, I guess some Spoils cards don't work at all.
Take for example Lorgalis' entry "all creatures get -2/-2 until end of turn, then..."
Afaik, the creatures get -2/-2, and during resolution of the spell even the 0/0's still survive, so Spoils isn't reached during resolution.

In any case, it is easy to fix the submissions adding a delayed trigger for the end of turn.

Notice the difference between sacrifice and -2/-2.
Sacrifice, it's gone, then Spoils.
-2/-2, 0/0 but survive, no Spoils.
The sacrifice does not include state-based effects.
jwanders card is winning, despite not being a card that utilizes Black's Spoils strategy, and also being a bit of a color pie stretch for black, which is tertiary for flying creatures. Does this mean future rounds can be more freeform with regards to Spoils and the color pie?

It's not as though there aren't common black flyers, though. And it fits the round requirements. And if you really don't like it, take it up in development.
