My idea here is to make a cube that can be acquired for under $200. Thus the cube will play out a little like a Pauper cube but with the money rather than the rarity as a parameter.
The reason for this project is twofold.
* I don't want to bring my main cube to events or even to my local store because it's worth to much.
* Cube is one of the more expensive formats for newer players. With this list they can hopefully enter the format without a too steep entry barrier and still have a very good basis for "upgrading" the cube with more expensive cards.
Feel free to post suggestions if you think I missed something. I'm always happy to receive comments and/or suggestions.

Please help me finalize my blue section. Blue's role is Tempo and reanimation-enabler when combined with black. Blacks focus is solely reanimation, control and support, so it's needed. Blue also have a strong element of blinking, that also runs through the white section.
I need to cut two cards, and any suggestions are also well recieved.
Why not juts creating a pauper cube. It is a format where people can share their experience with you and I can say from my own that it is fun as hell to draft, sometimes more than regular cube. It is also cheap and easily updateable with every set. The primary reason was that I wanted this to be an entry point for newer players that can't afford a completely powered cube in one go. Secondly to bring the cube around with me. And pauper aren't that cheap imo.
With this sort of budget cube I see some problems:
1.) You wont be able to add a lot of cards from new set for the first few months, because of the price hype. For me personally that would be a problem, because I like to play with new cards immediately. I have two more cubes so that isn't really a big problem for me. This should primarily be to inteoduce new players to this great format of ours.
2.) I think the powerlevel of the colors differs too much. In normal cube you have no restriction, in pauper you have the rarity, in peasant you also have the rarity. These parameters somehow balance the powerlevel of a cube on their own. Here you decide on such a cloudy parameter called budget, which doesnt present power level for cubers most of the times. I'll ofcourse try to balance it as good as I can. With this cube I actually think it's easier. I have boosted black with $20 for instance. That helps a lot.
3.) You have a normal cube and this cube will look like all commons and uncommons from your normal cube and a few rares and fill it up with some cheap rares. Wouldnt it be cooler and more interesting to create something new? Again I can strongly advise Pauper. This is a good point. Which is why I try to give the colors other identities than in my primary cube. No white control, Blue tempo, black without aggro and green aggro. But lets see if it works. If not it's fairly easy to transform to a pauper cube.
Sure it is your decision, but since I thought about that sort of cube as well, I wanted to share the points that kept me away from creating one. Very appriciated. Thx for your opinion.
This is my third (official) cube. My primary cube can be found here http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=194362. And my tribal cube can be found here http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=154775.
