I'm currently in the process of moving from 270 cards to 360 cards.
I'm trying to create a fairly balanced, fun, and interesting limited environment that supports aggro, combo, and synergy-based decks. This cube is used for 2-player Winston drafting most commonly, but really shines in 4-way or 6-way pack drafts. We tend to use either 5 packs of 9 or 7 packs of 7 for our drafts. Any card that has been printed as a common or uncommon in the history of paper Magic is eligible (sorry, Savannah Lions).
Cards are organized according to how they are most often used. For example, Lingering Souls usually sees play in Orzhov decks, but it is common to see Mystical Teachings in mono-blue. Similarly, Porcelain Legionnaire is often played in non-white decks, hence its classification as colorless. Wild Nacatl-like cards are classified as their true color.
Some guilds have more than the allocated amounti; each extra card removes 0.5 cards from each of its colors.
- Basic Information Cube Size: 270 Breakdown: 38 WUBRG, 40 gold, 40 colorless Theme: Peasant (commons and uncommons only) Basic Lands: Magic 2013 Core Set, not foil Average Number of Players: 2, sometimes up to 6 How Often Drafted: Several times each week to once a fortnight, depending on what format we want to play Proxies: No "Un" Cards: Not worth the trouble Pimping Aim: Modern frame, black border, not foil Cheats:Ancient Craving, as it looks better than Ambition's Cost

1 Sol Ring - Worn Powerstone is good in this environment, no need to make it 400 times better
3 Timely Reinforcements - Unfair to aggro
Welcome to the world of peasant cubing! I'll look at the list later.
Okay, I glanced at it. Here's some suggestions: Sensei's Divining Top isn't overpowered, but its also not very good in this format, so its fine to not run it.
Get a worn powerstone instead of a thran dynamo.
White
May I offer you a tall glass of Temporal isolation to replace timely reinforcements? Timely reinforcements can be one of the most demoralizing cards you can cast against a deck with mountains.
Guardian of the gateless costs 5, not 4.
Auramancer may also be a pretty nice upgrade and curve filler over raise the alarm.
Other cards that may interest you Coalition honor guard (a favorite of mine that's suddenly amazing with all of these auras) Goldnight commander (something else to build around) Blinding Beam is at least a one turn answer to all of these hexproofed guys with auras. Kor Skyfisher/Emancipation angel (just good cards) Stonecloaker (another 3 drop in a section that needs them, helps keep your aruas from being 2for1s) Troubled healer (protects the aura holders)
Blue
Blue really needs another creature or two, if you ask me.
Complicate and Forbid are both amazing and at least one should come in for one of the remove souls imo.
Brainstorm is commonly regarded as a trap in peasant. A glorified cantrip that isn't often worth a full deck slot. Considering how Crippling chill would play in this environment, I'd go with that at first blush.
Black
Black could probably use another guy or two as well Chainers edict. I don't consider this a staple in any other cube but with this much hexproof it has to come in. Probably over victim of night.
Basilica screecher is far and away my favorite new black card and you are in dire need of another 2 drop or two. You look like the kind of guy who'd be in the market for a Nezumi graverobber. Thrill-kill assassin synergizes with pyroclasm and infest, and those kinds of decks are very fun. Wretched Anurid is here for that as well.
Madcap skills would be nice so the aura decks can not be only in bant colors.
You're missing the single most fun and wondrous card in red: Shower of Coals. Do everything in your power to get this card.
Green
Elvish visionary isn't too good, and sadly, neither is farhaven elf. If you want more value green drops, Eternal witness is top 10 strongest green cards and so is regrowth. Those should be easy swaps.
Other
Why do you hace 3 cards in rakdos but 1 in dimir? Dinrova horror is probably a good call for your cube. Ribbons of night is usually referred to as the best dimir card in the cube as well. Coiling oracle is almost as bad as elvish visionary. Trygon predator it up. Golgari charm may be a better call here than putrefy. Or not, because you are running the hammer bros.
You may actually have too much fixing. You're running about as much as I am with a cube 180 cards smaller.
Move all of the signets to their guild sections, and cut boros, selesnya, and gruul signet. all of the nonblue signets are cuttable but those 3 are the worst. Replace them with cards like:
- Lightning Greaves
- Go for the Throat
- Tribute to Hunger
- Duty-bound Dead
- Black Knight
- Servant of Nefarox
- Rend Flesh
- Chainer's Edict
- Bloodhunter Bat
- Vulshok Morningstar
- Fume Spitter
I feel like Blaze Commando reads better on paper than it will play out in practice, so I'm definitely interested to see how it works for you. You mentioned in the main thread that you'd rather Hartebeest just be another Hexproof dude, and I could see you wanting Commando to just be a burn spell or an explicit token producer without the trigger condition.

Yeah Commando's definitely going to be watched closely. I'll post some info after it sees play.
I have zero faith in blaze commando. You need to untap with him and have a burn spell for him to approach being worth his mana cost and his gold slot. Even then, you'd need another one for him to be really worth it.

I've found Fire Servant to be incredible, and Blaze Commando is very similar. It seems like it could lead to some explosive turn-6's.
I browsed your cubelist for a bit and am really curious to hear your experiences with a couple of cards. Your cube is a bit smaller than mine (great job, btw, I find it hard enough to keep it around 370), but you have some interesting different cards.
Perimeter Captain - I figured that if Pyroclasm was too good vs aggro, the Wall deck would be too..
Perimeter Captain is on probation. Apart from Overgrown Battlement, it's the only defenders-matter card. So far it hasn't proven to be overly broken, and the defender synergies fit in nicely with any control deck. Most aggro decks have one or two removal spells anyway, and red has a can't-block theme that I'm slowly expanding.
I included it after seeing it discussed on the Peasant Cube Discussion thread. So far it hasn't done anything terribly exciting, but it seems to be good in the right deck.
Incidentally awesome against Walls. Sometimes it's too hard for an army of 2/1's to charge through, and this helps them. It also cycles if you need steam. I've only used it once so far, and it was good.
My Cube has a blink theme, and there are very limited spaces for enablers. I figure that any enabler should be nuts in the blink deck, and blinking two creatures at once is saucy.
It's been fantastical so far. Works well when paired with other pump effects. It's best for getting a few points of damage in to make it harder for your opponent to stabilize later on.
Skullclamp's really good, and Warhammer's pretty good. Both cards have won games on their own, but I could name 20 cards off the top of my head that have done so in this Cube. Surprisingly, they're not cards that you can stick in any deck and expect to win with. I've kept Skullclamp in the sideboard many times for simply not having enough weenies.
The cube currently has Firespout, Breath of Darigaaz, Infest, and probably one or two others. There's no need to enable BoardWipe.dec, and two mana is just a tad efficient for my liking.
Also, you have quite the UR spells package:
Wee Dragonauts/Nivix Cyclops/Fluxcharger/Kiln Fiend
This is something I've been pondering to do with my cube as well. How have these been working? I'm especially interested in Kiln Fiend, because my Izzet section is already quite stacked and Fiend can also be great in mono red burn (at least in pauper constructed it's pretty sick). And in what order would you rank them?
The thing about Dragonauts, Cyclops, and Charger is that they're fine cards in their own respect. If you have a couple out, then maybe an Eyes of the Watcher or something, every burn spell can deal a ton of damage. I've included some Flashback and Rebound spells for synergy, but it's nothing I've pushed terribly hard. In my Cube, if I have an archetype, I like to make sure it can work with others. I'd recommend giving this one a try; it's definitely a lot of fun.
As for performance, Dragonauts has attacked for >8 more times than I can remember.
For some reason I assumed the basic lands were all plains and swamps.
As for your cuts)
Literally anything for lust for war. Seriusly, put it in the cube and then pretend like you just realized your red section is 1 card too big.
Thanks for the responses about those cards, Oglor! I'll think about adding some off the U/R cards.
I'd cut Weapon Surge for Reckless Charge, I think.
I just added Weapon Surge in place of Dynacharge at my brother's request; he totally loved Weapon Surge in DGM limited. I'll test it for a few drafts, and if it doesn't impress, I'll use Reckless Charge. The difference is that Weapon Surge supports the token theme.

Okay, I glanced at it. Here's some suggestions:
Sensei's Divining Top isn't overpowered, but its also not very good in this format, so its fine to not run it.
Get a worn powerstone instead of a thran dynamo.
Things you're missing that I like:
Could use more red 3 drops and leas 4 drops.
I recommend moving your fixing to your multicolored section, allowing you to do more or less fixing based on what each guild wants.
Porcelain legionnaire, as played, is colorless.
But anyway, hola and welcome to peasant.
Other cards that may interest you
Coalition honor guard (a favorite of mine that's suddenly amazing with all of these auras)
Goldnight commander (something else to build around)
Blinding Beam is at least a one turn answer to all of these hexproofed guys with auras.
Kor Skyfisher/Emancipation angel (just good cards)
Stonecloaker (another 3 drop in a section that needs them, helps keep your aruas from being 2for1s)
Troubled healer (protects the aura holders)
Blue
Blue really needs another creature or two, if you ask me.
Iridescent Drake is probably cool here.
Jodah's Avenger + auras = sounds legit
Errant Ephemeron is just an amazing card
on that token, so is riftwing cloudskate
Complicate and Forbid are both amazing and at least one should come in for one of the remove souls imo.
Brainstorm is commonly regarded as a trap in peasant. A glorified cantrip that isn't often worth a full deck slot. Considering how Crippling chill would play in this environment, I'd go with that at first blush.
Spellstutter sprite isn't very good in peasant. Like, at all. Domestication, Tandem lookout, or Enclave cryptologist?
Black
Black could probably use another guy or two as well
Chainers edict. I don't consider this a staple in any other cube but with this much hexproof it has to come in. Probably over victim of night.
Rend flesh > murder
Basilica screecher is far and away my favorite new black card and you are in dire need of another 2 drop or two. You look like the kind of guy who'd be in the market for a Nezumi graverobber. Thrill-kill assassin synergizes with pyroclasm and infest, and those kinds of decks are very fun. Wretched Anurid is here for that as well.
You also could do well with another 3 drop or two at the expense of a 4 drop/kill spell. Chittering rats, Ogre marauder, Dross golem,
Hypnotic Specter, and Liliana's Specter are the best candidates.
Mark of the vampire would be nice so the aura decks don't have to be bant colors.
Diabolic servitude is a staple in all peasant cubes as far as I know, and is even better here.
Since your cube is so small you can probably get the Thoughtpicker witch lock with reassembling skeleton more often.
Red
The mana curve here is all out of whack. Too many 4s!
Consider:
to spread the cmcs around a bit
I think mogg fanatic is not very good in peasant. Seal of fire is much better. If you want a creature, I look to Frenzied goblin.
Reckless charge is a good one to try and make room for.
How does Dowsing shaman sound to you? or Yavimaya enchantress?
Definitely Find:
And indrik stomphowler is probably happy here.
Other
Why do you hace 3 cards in rakdos but 1 in dimir?
Take your copy of hand of emrakul, go outside, and put it in someone else's mailbox.
Colorless cards for the 11 free slots:
Actually, now that I think about it, you should use only 6 of these slots on colorless cards and the other 5 on monocolored cards.
final note:
One of either Pestilence or Pyrohemia may be good in here. Hexproof is really annoying.

Helping to rebuild the board is good, and aggro decks hate drawing late lands.
It's another mass pump effect for weenies or tokens. At instant speed, it can totally flip combat upside-down. It also puts you way ahead in a race.

How is it a low chance?
Also, I'm looking to cut room for Lust for War, Reckless Charge, and Water Servant. Suggestions?
As for your cuts)
Literally anything for lust for war. Seriusly, put it in the cube and then pretend like you just realized your red section is 1 card too big.

I just added Weapon Surge in place of Dynacharge at my brother's request; he totally loved Weapon Surge in DGM limited. I'll test it for a few drafts, and if it doesn't impress, I'll use Reckless Charge. The difference is that Weapon Surge supports the token theme.
