Has anyone put together a cube for at least eight people that uses only cards from Ravnica Block? If so, I'd be interested in seeing your list, since I'm putting one together myself.

I'm not sure how fun a RGD block themed cube would be just because the cards quality would start to get pretty terrible after the first 40-50 cards (after signets, shocks, karoos). Maybe if it was RGD+IPA+Alara or something you could take advantage of all the multicolor cards. That or you'd need to run multiple copies of cards like Helix, Electrolyze, Karoos, etc. and fill the cube out that way.
I guess you should just remove all the crap cards and see what is left.
That's what I have done.
I'm not aiming for it to be on par with your standard type 1 cube by any means. What I have done, however, is found 36 cards (including the dual land, karoo and signet) for each of the 10 guilds that are limited playable in any RAV/GPT/DIS draft.
I am aiming for singleton, and therefore I had to pick a few of the more narrow cards.
I am worried about the curve, though, even though I haven't calculated it. I've never built any cube at all before, and was looking for some general advice that would apply here.
Obviously if someone has already built a Rav Block cube, I'd want to see the list for comparison.
A friend of mine has a cube which has 'commons' 'uncommons' and 'rares' (commons appear 4 times, uncommons twice, and rares once in the cube) for a Time Spiral block cube. I'll try to convince him to post his list. I haven't gotten a chance to play with it, but it seemed like an ok idea.
Singleton from just a block seems like a bad idea in the long run, since you won't be able to balance things like creature removal or mana curves very well.

Ah, that's an interesting idea. I'm worried that if I start duplicating cards, though, I actually won't have enough slots out of 360 to put in all the neat cards that are in the block.
I don't need to see the list if that's what he's doing, but thanks.

That makes sense. Unless the designers just happened to think about an even curve, I'm going to have to tweak something.
What if I were to do something like come up with, I dunno, 340 commons and uncommons, and then just fill in the last 20 with a random selection of all the rares?
I think you would really need to put it together and draft it to see how it really goes, sounds fun though, racnica block was my favourite draft format.

I am petitioning for the end of: the Mythic rarity, the Planeswalker card type, the post-8th edition card faces, the 2010 rule changes, colorless cards that aren't artifacts or lands, the Legendary supertype, the stack, auras, multicolor cards, artifact creatures, tokens, goblins, merfolk, elves, sorceries, instants, and permanents. Basically, I just want to play with purple contraptions.

I really think this idea has merit. You could even use this method to make 'normal' drafts without needing to buy boosters once you have enough cards. And it would be a way to play older blocks. (Would be interesting to see if I could still crush people in Invasion Block drafts:D)
Thanks!
