If you heavily support +1/+1 counters matters, yes. Otherwise I'd much rather have the extra digging power of Impulse for my control / combo decks.

I love it. Steady Progress and Contentious Plan are both pretty crap. This adds a synergistic edge to a typically vanilla sort of card. Happy to see it.
