Which means I'd have to be running an 900+ card cube to be considering this (assuming 1 card per guild per 100)
From that list I like Snake, SSS, Shardless, and Trygon better before testing it out in terms of potential, and even then I could see it being better than some of them. Costing two just seems like such a sweet spot where you're actually doing crazy stuff on turn 3, if not just ramping up to a sweet spot.
What I like about the Follower is that even if you're not looking to ramp anymore, the untap ability still has some other awesome elements. You can get multiple activations off of an icy manipulator or a mimic vat, you can untap creatures that attacked, you can screw up combat, and you can even do little silly stuff like protect a creature from a Gideon -2. I think this card is going to be really really good.
All depends on your interactions. This is a pretty sweet card, I gotta stay. I mean, for starters, it's a 2/2 beater that will at least ramp you for 1 mana. It gets awesome with artifact mana (how does a curve of T2 Follower, T3 Monolith into Wurmcoil sound?), and at best it can enable some sweet combos (Kiki-Jiki + Follower + Purphoros). I'd at least test it in any cube that runs a significant amount of big ramp.
I dunno man, to me it just seems like a Voyaging Satyr/Seeker of Skybreak mix, which doesn't make me want to crack open my gold section.
Untapping artifacts is pretty huge as well. Seems great if you run artifacts that tap for 2+, along with all the other utilities I mentioned in the other post. The card could turn out to be underwhelming, but I like the potential he presents by being able to untap so many different cards. Also like Tennessee says he combos with Kik/Splinter Twin, and while a RRR card and a UG card in the same deck would be greedy, it's certainly possible in cube and adds one more potential already-good-enough card for that combo. EDIT: j/k that doesn't really work

Not a true combo if you don't have a way to leverage infinite tapped creatures, but there are definitely some cubeable cards that let you do it. It's absolutely greedy, but hey, what would cube be without silly interactions?

I'd run this before Agent and Refuge and probably before Zegana. Still, that leaves the Follower out in the cold unless you run 6 or more gold cards. If you push Time Vault combo or super-ramp, you may want this more than a more traditional cube. Solid card that is not quite powerful enough for most cubes.

Valid point. Maybe if your cube runs something like Goblin Bombardment, but three card combos are pretty tough to assemble even in cube.
I like it actually. Like, really. It is sick with Mana vault/crypt/sol ring/grim monolith and academy/gaea's cradle. But I doubt it will be enough to grant him a slot.

It's late, and I had a long work day, but doesn't it work if you do it during your opponent's end step? Then untap and kill them? Sure, it's a turn slower than Kiki JIki normally is, because normally s/he kills the turn s/he comes down, but that doesn't mean it doesn't work, it just means it's bad
I like this card. At minimum he is an awkward llanowar elf. Othertimes you are getting a second activation of Maze of ith, get to draw a card off of S top, untap mana vault/grim monolith/gilded lotus in your GU ramp decks. Give a creature effective vigilence. Retap a rofellos.
Seeing as my UG section is Shardless Agent, Edric, Trygon Predator and SImic Charm I think I'll switch out the charm.

This creature is very pushed indeed, but it's not the saviour that Simic needs or deserves right now. Will make waves in a bunch of formats other than cube.
Fantastic in limited. Definitely going to crack some peasant cube lists. Regular cubes, no way.
peasant still has shardless agent and trygon predator, and other powerful cards like temporal spring. it also depends on the composition of the simic section in question; i support tempo in u/g, but others support u/g ramp, so for me personally this card is not needed.
Amen. I think Simic is strong, and this card just won't be cracking the top 6-7 cards in the guild, unless you exclusively play Simic super-ramp decks and not much else. And even there, it's contingent upon drawing very specific cards to interact with, because using this to untap a land is god-awful.

Creature - Merfolk Uncommon
{T}: Untap another target permanent.
Seems strong. Untapping things like Mana Vault, Sol Ring, or Joraga Tree Speaker generates a ton of mana. Really like this card a lot.

Okay. That'd still only put it into 630-720 Cubes.

Looks interesting. Maybe a bit too conditional to be really cubable.
I feel compelled to repeat everything I hear

It's actually relatively less powerful in peasant because there are fewer broken things to untap.
Your hatred is fine, but I think it's pretty clear SSS is leaps and bounds better than this.
