Having gone to bat for beefy red fliers like Thunderbreak Regent and Ashcloud Phoenix before, I’m pleased to present what I believe to be the best of the lot. It’s very durable and requires no investment to bring back, and isn’t even slowed down by sorcery speed removal. It’s even got real synergy with sacrifice effects if the coast is clear.
I'm not blown away. It's neat, but it's in one of the tightest slot and it doesn't have haste or kill a creature or is an engine or etc. I don't know what I would cut for this, I think I'd rather the Regent over this and I played that for like 3 seconds.
This card ain’t bad but it’s not exactly great either. Really needed haste on the front end for me to include it. I do like it more than Regeant / Ashcloud Phoenix though.
Still really want that one staple Phoenix card... Kinda glad this isn’t it, looks more like an owl than it does a Phoenix.
Strong card, but stacked slot, and too slow for heavy red agro.
I'd strongly consider if it costed 3R, as I like it more in midrange decks that are ok with playing a slower game, or in my Br aristocrats deck.
In other cubes , could likely work with Earthquake/Moat/Wrath shenanagins and be quite strong there.
With a carrion feeder and a blood artist, each turn can grow the carrion feeder, drain twice and have a 4/3 flier beating down.
I like it more than thunderbreak regent and ashcloud pheonix for sure.
Currently I'm playing Hellrider, Pia and Kiran Nalaar, FTK and Hazoret in my 450. While I think this creature is pretty good, the section is simply too competitive to warrant its inclusion; Red 4's stacked, yo.
Sacrifice synergies are the main reason I'd want this. I don't dislike it, but I also don't love it. It's another that I'll add only if I open, which isn't that likely for a mythic from a set that I probably won't open that much of. I like that it's an owl rather than some generic bird of prey. It makes it more recognizable.
I think y'all are crazy. This bird is fantastic and is going to do great work in cubes that want red decks to be anything other than be mono-colored haste creatures and burn.

It’s definitely not an embarrassing card, it just has a lot of competition. I can see it do a lot of work if you support RB Aristocrats though.
It's quite a durable creature.
Design wise, wish they used the transform mechanic for this one.
If this would die, transform it instead. --> At the beginning of your upkeep, transform this.
I think it wont make it in mine. I's put in Pia/Kiran (sac/token) or Hazoret (durability) first before this.

I think this deserves a slot in 540 cubes and up.
Edit: Mods, please fix my title. Thanks
