That's one big demon! It's got great stats, but it isn't better than Griselbrand, can't sacrifice itself to tutor, and costs 8, which makes its inclusion pretty rough in smaller lists. Thoughts?
I'm currently running Tombstalker as a second big black creature, although it's more like a 5 or 6 drop than an 8. This seems really cool, though. Reanimator will like this. I wish it was a 6 or 7 drop instead, so that it could conceivably be played in control decks instead. Sacrificing another creature isn't all that easy in reanimator decks, either, although I guess there are plenty of creature discard outlets that could be food.
If this is under $5, I'll probably try it out. But I very much doubt it will be. EDH players are *****ting themselves over this.

I can't say I'm pleased to see you and must warn you I may have to do something about it.

Big body, but decks that cheat this into play won't have the spare creatures to abuse the activated ability. I'd much rather have Rune-Scarred Demon for cube.
This guy is cool, but my reanimation targets can't rely on me having creatures I can chump off for damage. If it made, like, 1-2 tokens it would be so much better for cube.
This is a fat monster, but I don't think black needs another fat monster in addition to Griseldad. I also really like Sheoldred and, although she doesn't hit as hard, she's easier to hard cast and I think she's better than this guy as far as utility goes as well.
I actually don't think he's good in reanimator. I'm not consistently going to have sac fodder and without that he's just a big body. Sheoldred, Rune-Scarred Demon or even Baleful Force I feel are all better targets.
I see Rakazeth more as a ramp target but the BBB really hurts there. In the end I think he's a miss.
I'm low on giant black creatures, so I'll play this if I open it. The good reanimation targets cost money, so I'm playing a measly Fell Shepherd as a placeholder. This is a fine soft-cast target, but doesn't feel all that unique.
I think good ol' Russel Brand is the only one of this effect I need at 465. For bigger cubes, though, this seems like a perfectly reasonable 2nd version of the giant reanimateable fatty in B. Worth noting, this guy especially shines in recurring nightmare decks, as those will often have sacrifice fodder for the tutoring.

Yeah, I feel like Razaketh can only really thrive in Recurring Nightmare shells.
Outside of Recurring Nightmare decks, this is just an 8/8 flying trampler that can occasionally eat a creature-based discard outlet for a tutor. Seems a lot more work for an effect you're almost never going to chain unless you're already way ahead with a Myr Battlesphere or something. I think reanimator would rather have Rune-Scarred Demon. I think Sidisi, Undead Vizier might be more useful overall than Razaketh.
Hard pass for small cubes but I'm a fan of the card in general.
I'd probably test it if it cost 5BB
Can't help but think this could enable some instawin combo deck in eternal formats or edh
Chaining off demonic tutors is a pretty messed up ability
Razaketh will be dumb in EDH and I wouldn't be surprised if he joins Griselbrand on the banned list. I see zero potential for Razaketh in Legacy / Vintage though.
