Welp, that is a weird card for sure. I love the ability to wall out agro critters and turn them into less threatening 1/3s as well as being an awesome rattlesnake for 1 mana later in the game. That said, will this creature create stupid game states where every creature becomes a 1/3 blocker unable to trade in combat? Also, what happens when it connects with an x/1? Does the creature survive?
At one mana, this is absolutely a cube-worthy effect. The 1/3 body can give aggro fits in the early game, and it will do a great job of shutting down bigger threats as long as you also run a win condition that the Mass doesn't stop. It will awkward to slot a 100% control-oriented card into green, but the awesomeness will be worth it.
Close to a 1/3 deathtouch for 1 -- super mana efficient blocker. Would absolutely cube in esper colors, but it might be hard to find room for a defensive card alongside elvish mystic and Kessig prowler.

I primarily play limited, so most of my spoiler season comments view cards through that lens.
I actually like the idea of running a 1/3 deathtouch for G alongside mana elves and the like. I don't do aggro in green, but green likes midrange/ramp decks that tend to be weak to aggro and this is solid vs aggro. It doesn't tap for a mana, but it stalls long enough to hit another land drop, which is more than I can usually say about any 1 drop. I might actually test this but I need to think about it more. If your cube wants a 2/1 for G, it probably does not want this though.
Fun card, but looks bad for cube. It's not like my green midrange decks need game against aggro anyways, and it looks like the effect will backfire more often than help in a typical green deck. I didn't even expect this to get a [SCD] when I saw it spoiled.
I am testing this, not because I think it's good, but because my group will love it and I think there is a corner chance that it's actually completely cubable.
Bad card is annoying. Or annoying card is bad. One of those. I'll definitely have to think twice about someone if I see them playing this guy in literally any format.
what happens when it connects with an x/1? Does the creature survive?
State based actions--including the one that checks if a creature has been dealt lethal and sends it to the graveyard--happen before the trigger will resolve. So any x/1 the Mass deals combat damage to will die.

I'm officially proposing we retire the word "insane" from the MtG vocabulary.

This isn't a card for your green ground-based midrange decks. It's a card for control decks that run green, ramp decks if they get win conditions that can go through the mass stall, and Wildfire decks that want to stall early and then wipe out all the 1/3s. There are probably other applications too.
I am going to seed this card as I did with Prism Array - and prove them that those "innocent" cards are actually broken/really solid in the right deck.
Or just to troll my play group for one or two cube drafts. That's also fine
This isn't a 1/3 with deathtouch for 1, this is a 1/3 with "give the opponent a 1/3 deathouch"-touch, except it isn't. It's a 1/3 with "give the opponent a 1/3 "give the opponent a 1/3 [...]"-touch"-touch.
Ahhh, whatever, I mean, at some point you will also want to attack, and unless you're only running flyers, any copy of it will annoy you just as much as it annoyed them.
Edit: well, it is a good blocker for green control vs aggro, if you plan to wipe the board later or have evasive finishers. But that's to narrow, imo, and green is the wrong color for that.
I think this card is pretty good and an awsome design
Not what green in cube wants, but my god will this be annoying in limited. A great defensive creature for ramp strategies... Just not worth a slot in my cube. More of a sideboard card...
