Recurring Nightmare is one powerful card. I'm wondering how far Victimize is from Recurring Nightmare and if this can help provide some redundancy for the effect.
Does anyone have any experience with this card? I don't anticipate it being played heavily as a reanimation spell in reanimator decks - but more as a second Recurring Nightmare in the BG Pod/Sur/Rec shells

I'm actively maintaining a comprehensive article to help explain to new cube players how some complex vintage level cards work in a cube environment. Vintage Cube Cards Explained
Like you said I think it can't compete with reanimator's spells. It cost 2B, target only your graveyard, need to sac a creature and having 2 targets to get the best of the card...
However I think it's far from being a second Recurring Nightmare as it's... not recurring at all. On early turns you will struggle to have 2 targets in your graveyard (at least two interesting targets). Would a BG pod really benefit it at the cost of cutting another card (probably a reanimator one)? I will personally not do it, but would love to ear someone else opinion!
I had this in my Cube circa 2010/2011, and even at that time it was too narrow. Still, it was a fun card, but if your Cube is a typical power level Victimize doesn’t get there.
This is a pretty popular EDH card.
