just wanted to get a bit of opinion/feedback on something.
I'm gonna be 25 this summer and I completed my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Criminology and justice in 2013 (3 years ago). Towards the end of my undergrad, I was thinking of applying to masters programs but decided against it because at the time I wasn't sure if my marks were high enough. The past few weeks I've been thinking of applying to my Masters anyways since I feel it may be worth a shot anyways
I just wanted to see if having a Masters degree in the field of legal studies/criminology or sociology would improve my chances of finding a job in those fields. I'd prefer something government but I guess I shouldn't be too picky if I'm not working in my field
If you want to work for the government, my advice is to go on USAjobs and search for the sort of job you want. E.g. if you want to work for the FBI search for that and find out what sort of qualifications they want you to have. Then get those qualifications. Change your resume to fit your dream job, not the other way around.

guess I should have said I live in Canada, I guess we have similar job search website for the government up here
that's one thing I'm finding though, most jobs now require experience, which I'm finding is hard to get

As someone who has graduated undergrad studies and went straight into the job market out of college over grad school, gaining the experience is a real thing. It is very hard to get your first "real job". My advice is (if you don't plan on going to grad school) is to take what you can get initially no matter how horrible it sounds. After a couple years you will have some of that elusive experience which will allow you to move up a little bit whether it will be within the same company or with another company. With some career paths there are tons of certifications/training you can get while doing that first few years at the low end job that will help you immensely, because you have worked in your field and proven yourself and you are now getting certs and training. I speak from a research career perspective. I make almost as much as the lab I work for and they spent years upon years and are buried by mountains of debt for it and I am not.

Move in, do your masters degree as soon as you secure entry level job and have them pay for it. Get the training, then leave.

Life is a beautiful engineer, yet a brutal scientist.
Little background, I'm a public defender. If you want to be a probation officer or an attorney I say go for some kind of post-grad degree. If you want to be a cop there is no need whatsoever. If you have come to your senses and decided you want to make money, look at what the next best move is. If you want to be an academic, quit wasting your time.
Try to get an appointment with an advisor for the master's program you're interested in. They'll give you better advice than random strangers on MTGS in terms of the best route for you to take.
In my opinion getting Master's degree is necessary only if you're planning to build a scientific career, all studying programm in this case will be devoted to this. Having a Bachelor's degree is enough for working and building a good career in your sphere
I like my profession, but I don't want to just work in an office, I would like to get more opportunities for development, research and study in my specialty. I was thinking about continuing my graduate studies. Now I'm writing my graduate essay and if I have a chance to apply to it, it would be cool. I believe that graduate school opens up more perspectives for me that are interesting to me. For example, I would like to teach at a university. I have some doubts about whether I chose the right writing strategy for this writing assignment, and I sometimes check my essays on the EssayEdge site. I think I need professional help in this situation, because I want really amazing and impressive graduate essay, because I really want to continue my studies.

A masters degree usually counts as a couple years experience when applying for jobs, which is a pretty major benefit starting out.
