...Oh my gosh I kind of want that to happen, almost. With Tom Cruise jumping the scientology ship and leading the Bronies into a Holy War against the Furries.
This could make good Manga, or comics. Just sayin guys. LET IT HAPPEN

I watch some MLP with a friend of mine that is a Bronie. It was a fine cartoon but just didn't interest me in the slightest.
There must be some reason people like this show. Its just a harmless bit of eccentricity as far as i can tell. So leave the people to their odd preferences if its harmless then is there really any need to give any care for the strangeness of it.

Sure, there are some of us bronies that are a bit...how should put this...perverted. But for the most part, we're just a group of people who enjoy a good-quality TV show. Are we the target audience? Definitely not. But it's hard not to like the show when it has such great characters, a strong balance of humor and drama, some good life lessons, and high-quality animation.

This is what us, the non-bronies, don't get.
It's not even good-quality TV show. It's not a matter or personal preference, it's just that it's not different from the other thousands of cartoons out there.

YOU ARE SURPRISED BY A MANTICORE! IT QUICKLY SHREDS YOUR FLESH AND DEVOURS YOU!
it's just that it's not different from the other thousands of cartoons out there.
So you don't like those thousands of other cartoons, in general, as well?
If not, there must be a difference which causes you to think FiM is inferior to them.
If so, how can you make statements like this:
I think what Tranquilo means is that he is not going after the show, and his argument is not a matter of his personal preference. He's asking what differentiates it from, well, every other cartoon. Honestly, I think it's the combination of the ponies being ponies, thecolorful animation(literally, tons of colors) and Rainbow Dash

when it's clear that your preferred entertainment doesn't include cartoons?
The point is that your group are elevating MLP to a level above other forms of entertainment, beyond mere preference, but by saying things like "it's really a good show," "it's better than all the other cartoons for kids these days," "it makes references and jokes that adults will get," etc. All of these are arguments I have heard for why MLP is good or better than other shows, when really you need to realize it is NOT objectively better than anything, it's just a matter of preference. Your preference happens to lean towards the show, others do not, and they aren't "haters" or "closed-minded" or "don't get it" if they don't like it, they just honestly could care less about a little girl's show about ponies.
Oh, I thought he was talking about playing a spell that is countering a spell with counters on it as it comes into play, but I see you guys were just discussing whether he was flashing a creature with flash in order to flash a flashback or just flashing a creature with flash but not needing flash in order to flashback a spell without flash.
I don't want to be sucked into this but it's happening.
Certainly the large abnormal fanbase would suggest that there is something different about my little pony. At least for that fanbase in general.
Perhaps the difference is subtle, invisible or meaningless to the general population (think of people who really like wine or trout fishing and how strange they appear). But that doesn't mean that the difference doesn't exist, nor that the differences don't add up in the eyes of the viewers.
If you don't like jazz music I can't convince you that Louie Armstrong is enjoyable to listen to. I suppose I can't convince you even if you do like jazz. But when a normal person says "Louie Armstrong is good," you understand what they're saying even if you don't necessarily agree or understand.
If the bronies turn into an international militant group of horsemen like that of Khan and his..."soldiers", trust me, it will be taken care of.
Other than that, I see no worries to be had

At worst it becomes like that Futurama episode about Star Trek becoming a religion. Some how Dawkins writing about My Little Pony amuses me.

Obviously, I am one (look at my avatar). So this may be biased.
Some bronies make us look bad. Rule 34 is a big problem. However, the rest of us are a good community.
However, if anyone has a problem with bronies, I recommend these two links:
