"There are times when the word **** is justified, for example, you are on a crowded underground train, and the gent behind you is gently caressing your buttocks, somehow "Excuse me interrupting what for you is clearly a pleasurable experience but could I ask you politely to desist" does not carry the same urgency as "**** off you pervert." - Bill Connolly
Verzen - let me be the first to say your cousin is alive and well in spirit and will probably make contact soon through a dream or other occurrence to tell you so.
It doesn't help the loss of his physical presence but 73 is not a bad age to go and as I said, he is alive in spirit, going when he can and after a life which has obviously been satisfying enough when you get your death announced in a paper. I opened the article dreading that another person had been stabbed, shot, murdered in their beds or found with their trousers around their ankles in a public convenience next to a blow-up doll (I'm sure that article has made it to these forums by now) but it's good to see that the crime wave that seems to have engulfed Britain and America has not reached you yet.
Keep yourself VERY safe, it is a nightmare out there.
(Nice to meet a fellow old guy on these forums ?!?!)

Wow, I'm deeply sorry for your loss Verzen. I definitely know what it feels like to have family members pass on. I have had several do so in the past year, including my grandfather.
Remember all of the good times. I hate when people mention the negatives or the "bad times", because they harbor uncomfortable feelings. Just remember that you have to move on. My grandpa died a little less than a week before midterms, but I unfortunately had to suck it up and handle my responsibilities. People are only understanding to a point.
I apologize if it sounds insensitive, or it makes you uncomfortable to hear that, but in all honesty, it is the truth.

That's horrible. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your cousin, especially at 73. That's too young for somebody to go in today's time. Also, was that your cousin was in Naked Gun 2? I just saw that movie this afternoon. What a shame.

"If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done." - Sir Peter Ustinov
I think that most people have given him the benefit of the doubt on this one, because if he is playing a practical joke on the boards, it is a rather morbid and unfunny joke.
That is also a cynical perspective on the situation W-A-N.

Yeah, I am related by 'blood' to Robert Goulet. He is my cousin.
He is not "too" distant. He is not a "direct" cousin, as in, he is not my mothers, sisters son... I am only 23 after all =P.
He was more closely related to my grandma then me. But its still a cousin of mine.
My great great grandfather, and Robert Goulet's grandfather were brothers.
Also known as, my grandmother's grandfather, and his grandfather were brothers. My great grandmothers maiden name (also known as my grandmothers mother's maiden name) was Goulet.
And yes, of course Robert Goulet has to have cousins someplace... *snicker*
Here is kind of a funny story though. My best friend is also in line to the Danish throne... But... he has to kill 270 people to get the crown.... We are starting this coming Saturday.
(The whole starting to kill people this coming Saturday is a joke btw...)

I remember seeing him on old reruns of The Saint and thinking how suave he was... ;_;
RIP, mate.
Ok, aside from that, I feel sorry for your loss. It must be amazing to have a singer cousin. Did he leave lots of money?
I would say something deep and meaningful, but I don't know you or your cousin. So I say, "Remember the good times."

Dude, was your cousin really Robert Goulet?
Because I have a hard time believing that...

Why? Robert Goulet has to have cousins someswhere.
EDIT: Beaten to the punch.
