hi guys. just wondering how skin asthma develops. can anyone tell me? thanks.

My face is covered with red itchy spots. i already went to my dermatologist but she did not mention the history about skin asthma to me. anyway... yeah, that's it.

Wikipedia is your friend. I've never heard of it being called "skin asthma" before, but eczema is another common name for it.

It's basically just a skin allergy to various irritants and environmental allergens. There's no cure, but there are treatments.

It's just really really really dry skin. I have it. There is some cream you can put on. Prescription though.

i have cream too. i'm allergic to almost anything that touches my skin except human skin... so it's dirt, smoke, fur, dust, pollen. my skin gets all red and flaky. felt like a molting snake. how do you deal with it? aside from the cream. are you forbidden to eat a particular food?

I don't have it anymore. If i don't put th ecreme on it comes back. That's all. just cake it on

i've had eczema since i was little but i gradually grew out of it. what helped me was oatmeal baths (ugh... not the most pleasant) but it really works. get a wash cloth and take all the dead skin off while in the tub. as for cream... epiderm works well... try that out...

i doubt if we have epiderm here in the philippines. i'm using elica, and it's actually effective. it takes out the dry skin and does not make my skin white (i have light brown skin) so i'm not worried about my skin tone getting irregular. i also have this tranquilizer that prevents me from waking up and scratch my face and arms. i should use the tranquilizers more often.
