This show is starting to pick up. The ending of the last episode was pretty good. All and all this season is shaping up, i think the first one was a lot better but there is still time for this one to be just as good.
Probably, but the boxing glove would still have absorbed and distributed some of the arrow's energy. It wouldn't have gotten to that point, though, because the arrow would never have flown with that massive unaerodynamic weight at the front.
But more importantly: who cares? Boxing glove arrow!

I laughed so hard when the happened. I had been telling my wife about the boxing glove arrow for weeks and how I wanted one to show up.

but considering it's only a few meters it's not impossible, the only unbelievable part would being able to knock a really well trained fighter with that much force distribution.
but who cares about logic. Flash Vs Arrow yay!

In summation: You are not inherintely superior for using a rogue deck.
I've been catching up on the current season (I'm about 7 episodes behind right now) and man, it has been a slog. The writing has really gone downhill, and the tone is way too angsty. The only real bright spots have been Ray Palmer and Thea (who has grown out of her annoying phase). I also like the actress who plays Tatsu, but that whole storyline has yet to pay off at all.
It certainly doesn't help that Flash has been so good. I watch Flash and I'm amazed these shows are in the same universe. Flash has been fun and fresh, it has some good humour and a nice little mystery plot. Meanwhile Arrow has crying, ridiculous forced love triangles, people acting all out of character, and boring stories.
Constantine continuing on in some form is great and Matt Ryan is probably the best actor for the role. Though I wouldn't even be close to surprised if CW's Constantine is written to be an even more watered down version than the NBC one. If only Netflix would pick up Constantine
The Hellblazer comic was dark. Really dark. So dark that even the darkest episodes of the TV series were considered by diehard Constantine fans to be watered down. The episode "A Feast of Friends" was a pretty close adaptation of the first Hellblazer story -- but in the comic, Constantine doesn't talk Gary into sacrificing himself voluntarily, but goes ahead with the sacrifice anyway, and Gary dies cursing Constantine's name. (My own take is that it's arguably darker for Constantine to be able to manipulate Gary into doing that than it is for him to just kill Gary.)
Oh, also, they weren't allowed to show Constantine smoking on TV. But to their credit, they did absolutely everything they could to work around that.

Eh, to my recollection, Constantine did manipulate Gary but in the end, Gary made the conscious choice to be the sacrifice after realizing what John was doing. It would've been considerably darker had Gary found out and tried to escape and John somehow forced him to be the sacrifice.
Do I need to watch Constantine now, as an Arrow fan? I tried the first 2-3 episodes and found it unbearable.
You don't need to watch all of it, at least I don't think. There wasn't that much large picture plot building in the first season of Constantine aside from the usual "big things are coming". I think what you should watch are key episodes that highlight Constantine as a character and Blinking Spirit's suggestion, Feast with Friends (4th episode) is a good place to start. I also personally recommend episodes 8 and 9

What Raver said, plus Ep. 11, "A Whole World Out There". But also, as far as we know, Constantine is going to be a guest character in a single episode, so it's probably going to be pretty self-contained. I wouldn't sweat it.

John freaking Constantine has weaseled his way out of a network cancellation and escaped to the CWverse.
Dare I hope for Zatanna?

If this, maybe also the Swamp Thing?
