Arcadic the only reason Stone Cold had to miss is because he had knee surgery and was in the recovery point in that (before physical therapy starts) had he not had knee surgery he would have been there.
They will save punk's trash talking the rock til later when the rivalry really takes off. What they did very well was to show that punk was conflicted with his actions. Now, if they take the boos from the STL crowd and turn him "heel", i'll be a tad disapointed but punk is almost better as a heel figure than a face of the company.
Face it, unless children start hating Cena, he'll never turn heel. The ONLY way Cena ever turns heel is if another star comes up and can sell the product to the 10 and under crowd.
Also, what the hell was up with the last hour? Being in the crowd, it felt like they had some tech diffulcuties or something because before the Taker/Kane part, they spent about 20 minutes just filling time.
As for my review : Perfect if Stone Cold was there, only amazing since he wasn't.
I doubt children will ever start hating Cena, at least CM Punk can do both face and heel
So... I'm gonna drop a pipe bomb on Raw 1000. It sucked. For a three hour wrestling show the wrestling was almost non existent. Not only that, the matches themselves were so predictable, there really was no reason to watch. The best part of Raw 1000? Mae Young and the Hand, and I'm not even kidding when I say that. Whatever writer wrote that deserves a gold star.
The Punk heel turn? There is no way that WWE can pull it off, because who did Punk turn heel against? Cena and The Rock. Punk goes off on how Cena hogs the main event spotlight? Fans will cheer because it is true. Punk goes off on how much Cena sucks? Fans will cheer because it is true. He can't comment on how The Rock is a part time star that steals the spotlight from the hard working WWE Superstars. Fans will cheer because it is true.
The only way Punk is a "credible" heel is if he becomes some cookie cutter villain to feed to SUPERCENA and the ROCKMAN. And Punk will still get cheers because people will cheer Punk because he is Punk, much how people cheer Dolph Ziggler because he is Ziggler. They work their butts off and put on a great show and the fans appreciate it.
Remember, Punk was the heel last year against John Cena going into the Money in the Bank PPV? What happened? Fans cheered Punk and booed Cena. How will this year be any different. The players are the same, its just less awesome this time.

That part I bolded, underlined, and italicized: that's why people cheer for the Rock. That's the same thing that happened both times he turned heel. It's why they(most people) appreciate him coming back, because he's better than 100% of anything else in the WWE nowadays, even when he's part time.
WCW dying was the worst thing that could happen to pro wrestling. Viince has no competition to force him to be better, and Jarrett's janky promotion will NEVER be that competition, so they just shovel out drivel. Seriously, in the heyday of WCW and WWF of the monday night wars, punk's weak promo's wouldn't have even aired. He might be a great wrestler, but he cannot carry the promotion the way The Rock, SCSA, Hogan, Cena and others have/can.
Because conservative bias is a far, far worse thing. Liberal bias doesn't, statistically speaking, make people stupid. Conservative bias (or at least Fox's version of it) does.
I would like a distinction made between The Rock and Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson. The Rock died at Summerslam 2002, Dwayne Johnson appears on WWE TV every 3 months or so to pop a rating and do whatever he wants, real WWE superstars be damned. How the hell are you going to do exactly what you claim you hate John Cena for doing? Everyone in the locker room gets the spotlight stolen from them just as much by you as they do by him because you swoop in on your white horse and declare yourself in the main events of major PPVs and for what? You wan't to be WWE champion again? That belt doesn't mean a god damn thing unless Cena is holding it because he is the only one who ever gets to main event. And this is supposed to set up for Rock/Cena II at WM29? Give me a ****ing break.
Don't get me wrong, I love The Rock, he is undoubtedly one of the all time greats. I don't like Dwayne Johnson because he is a ****ing sycophant only looking out for #1.

Rock doesn't get to swoop in and do whatever he wants. You have to realize that's all run through creative months/weeks in advance, and finally through Vince. If Vince didn't want rocky main eventing the rumble next year, he wouldn't be. For all we know, Rock may have asked for summer slam and they told him "No, we have to use Brock more before he jumps to UFC again". Plus, the yearling buildup actually worked well for them financially, so they probably wanted to capitalize on that angle again.

Vince knows that Rock = ratings. The casual WWE fans love the Rock because of who he was and I imagine he *does* get a lot of creative control with what he wants to do and when it's convenient for him unless there are some larger plans in place (more than likely involving Triple H or John Cena). Dwayne has a lot of movies to shoot and the Royal Rumble was the most convenient place for him to boost his ego this year and thus the deal was made. Dwayne says he wants to come back and help the WWE but he really only wants to help himself, he gets a huge paycheck to come in and win for no reason and now he's going to take the main event away from someone else twice next year; at the rumble and at wrestlemania again and what does that do for WWE? Nothing unless Dwayne wants to come back full time and perform because I'm sure he doesn't want to put anyone over. And I thought Hulk Hogan was bad.
I actually really don't like AJ as gm. Her work in the Punk/Bryan feud was cute at first but it quickly became evident that she doesn't know how to work a microphone. The fact that they're trying to make her a hardline baby face, and all the logic holes that go with it, doesn't endear me to her in the least. She can be a total birch to the heels (or as I like to call them, the only ones with a brain in their heads) and gets no flak for it. Just like Sheamus and just like John Cena.
90% commercials, 10% set up for summerslam main event for raw (3 guesses as whose in it...... )
AJ doesnt seem terri-bad..... but I feel like it'll be a short reign (as with previous gm's)
3 guesses!?!?! Really!?!?
AJ will not survive as GM for many reasons. Mainly, she has her own personal agenda and that will become transparent very quickly. May she R.I.P. soon. (Not literally)
RAW was really good this week except for the last half hour. It felt too much like they were trying to do attitude era stuff, but didn't have anything to pad it with, like a match or ANYTHING going on. It was also a tad obvious what was going to happen.
That being said, there were some good matches and some interesting segments. The Triple Threat match stole the show for me.
Looking forward to Summerslam.
1. I hope Santino loses his belt in the preshow.
2. I hope that Kofi and Truth lose the tag titles, so they can become more relevant.
3. Ziggler and Y2J are going to steal the show.
The last time I've seen anything of this was Smackdown. These are a few things I remember:
Vince Macmahon faked his death.
Paul London and Ryan Kendrick split and Kendrick turned heel.
Duece and Domino
The Edge and the 2 brothers (forgot thier name). Edge was my favorite
Kane was suspected of being Macmahon's son, which was later said to be Hornswaggle.
Y2J, Chris Jericho comes back and works with Big Show i think.

Basically Randy Orton is a strike away from being gone and the main storyline is a mexican aristocrat fighting with the human jar of mayonaise for a title likely not to last another year (I think they should combine them...)

No matter when Macius posts I always find myself wanting to quote something from him in my sig.
The worse part is that his description is accurate despite the cleaver nicknames.
What if Cena went full on heel, do you think people might cheer for him more because he isnt goody 2 shoes anymore (as in he doesnt always clutch win everything) or do you think its still him being booed by half, cheered by the other half....?

My belief is that it would depend on the actions of Cena and how the WWE Universe would accept those actions. Anything and everything is possible in TV Drama.
This was the mist disappointing PPV I have seen. I'm rather disgusted with how everything went down.
HHH v. Lesner was a complete joke. All it was was Lesnar trying to break HHH's arm again. Which he did.
CM Punk retained his title thanks to Cena. The end of the match had no climax what so ever. Cena AA's Show and Punk throws Cena from the ring and pins Show.
It's bad when I can't remember anything else from the PPV.

Would you agree that CM Punk can pull off a SCSA type of heel this time.... one that your should hate, but everyone loves?
540 Peasant cube- Gold EditionSomething SpicyI think he could very well do that

My wife was on MTV with this video.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUutIZg2EpU
How much longer can Cena be on the receiving end of nothing good and not turn to a heel?
All the evidence points towards Cena always being the Role Model of the WWE, but I'm sure it's about time someone stepped into that spotlight.
My predictions for SummerSlam:
Miz retains title
Santino loses title
Kofi/Truth retain titles
Show wins title
Shaemas retains title
Kane defeats Bryan
I didn't see a Diva's match on the card.

What's everyone's thoughts on Ryback? I'm a fan, but not sure where they are going with him.
you mean Goldberg? same storyline.
