Music and Band discussion is to go on here (save the specialized genre musics that have their own threads).
This thread has become Essential Music thread because of the following:
A. Filesharing is apperantly evil, stay away from it! Hit it with a stick if you need to but keep it away!
B. Because honestly this thread has takena direction more similiar to Essential Music then I thought it would have...For some reason. So thread title changed.
Also for those who have not viewed this thread, the topic is, What is the Essential Music? What albums must one own? What bands does one need listen in order to be completed?
Anything by Anti-Flag, Dead Kennedys, and Sex Pistols to start. Oh, and I don't think that we're supposed to discuss illegal activities on the boards ;).
Arkham, the 1920's. Investigators battle horrors from beyond time and space, risking life and sanity while conspiracies of cultists and malign servitors seek gateways for their outer gods to return...
Soon, the stars will be right! Great Cthulhu shall rise!

Wait until July. The Surpreme Court rules in July weather or not P2Ps are legal, in the sense of music. And if a Mod decides it is illegal I will just edit it saying, "I lost mt Music Collection in a fire and am trying to get back, what songs should I get?" or something.
Upoun further reflection I think that it is illegal for the user but legal for them. Whatever, I will wait for a Mod.
The thing is, everyone has completely different taste in music. You're going to have to give us some sort of idea of the kind of music you listen to before we can make any sort of recommendation. Otherwise, I could fabricate a list of trashy Europop for you...

Honestly, seeing as LimeWire can get me a song in two minutes, I do not care. I may not like it but I will listen to it and then decide. Let me give you a listen of my songs to give you an idea:
Unsorted:
Neil Young- Heart of Gold
Will Smith
Spanish Band none of you have heard of
Franky J
The Killers
The Sex Pistols(agreed Zjs)
Jem
Yellowcard
That is just a sampling. Really, suggest anything and I will download it.
I'm more into contemporary adult (I have Jason Mraz playing at the moment), so I'm not sure where our tastes in music converge, but you might like Alejandro Sanz.

Sing lustily and with good courage.
Be aware of singing as if you were half dead,
or half asleep:
but lift your voice with strength.
Be no more afraid of your voice now,
nor more ashamed of its being heard,
than when you sang the songs of Satan.
I don't agree with illegal downloading and such, but you know what, I'll just share some of what I like....

Like The Sex Pistols: Rise Against or The Donots.
Like Yellowcard: Straylight Run or Fallout Boy.
Try those out. If you give me more alternative/punk/metal acts, I can give you more suggestions.

A gallant knight,
In sunshine and in shadow,
Had journeyed long,
Singing a song,
In search of Eldorado.
I would really like an example. Nemo is by far the best song off of Once. I don't have their older cds.
