S.O.C. is a good film that documents the story of how the N.W.A rose and fell.
It primarily focuses on Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and Eazy E. That's not surprising since Dre and Cube are producers. Well acted and well directed. More than anything I would say that the film is a loving tribute to Eazy E. It also demonizes the Manager of N.W.A.; Jerry. Again this isn't surprising when you realize what happened to numerous musical acts at the time although there's no way to know how much of that villainy is true.
I'm more surprised than anything that the film was made on a budget of 28 mil. It looks good. Definitely worth watching. Even if you're not familiar with the rap scene of the early 90's late/80's go see it.
It's probably not a film in theaters any longer but it's still good for DTV or any other service.
