URF WW went full ap and healed 400 hp a second. No one could beat that.
Talon could perma silence you.
TF never lost his tower.

Maokai could practically perma-stun with Q and of course had a short cd gap closer that delayed or dodged a good deal of stuff. And sapling stack cheese of course. Could easily clear jungle camps at the same speed as walking through it with Q and E (or prestack E to instatake any camp as it came up).
I didn't expect him to be so broken but he was borderline alistar-tier.

Has anyone else tried the new jungle ? I find it to be incredibly easy as Nocturne. I did some customs against bots and I managed to do full clear without recalling. I don't get why people are saying it's so hard. Maybe Nocturne is just super strong in the new jungle..
Haven't found the jungle to be all that difficult - I think it's just the fact that it isn't totally free is jarring for people. Like, previously I could pick Rengar and after 8:00 or so expect to heal off jungle camps... now you lose some health on every camp until much later in the game.
I miss ap tryn in urf mode. Easily the champ I played most and he was insanely op. Spin every 2 seconds with insane heals and ults whenever you get low. When did they change how his q worked? I don't remember which version was live with urf. Hopefully post nerf, cuz it was still incredibly fun (if it was pre nerf it might not be as awesome when urf returns). I don't think I ever saw anyone else play it either, so that adds to the style points when you absolutely ruin.
I've only been playing vs. AI while learning the new jungle so far, so I can't comment on counterjungling or other things you have to worry about when you're really jungling, but at least as far as clearing camps are concerned, I haven't been having any trouble at all with my jungler of choice (Vi, obviously). The new jungle items dramatically increase your power against creeps. I almost think the change was to discourage non-junglers from taking camps more than it was to do anything to junglers.

The aoe smite item is just a bit absurd in the new jungle. Not only does it instaclear the camps, but it also sustains you a lot more than the other smite options. Plus, it also acts as an absurd siege breaker/maker because it'll blast the entire wave all at once. Either way, the item is super strong at the moment.

Just used this today on Jarvan per Nightblue's suggestion of starting item, It felt pretty good. Big help and it stops some incoming damage. I went Ranger into Warrior and because I was ahead I build BC and Mobis. Randuins after that. Took the game to the house BUT I did miss smiting people with Stalker Knife and noted I probably lost at least 1 kill because of not being able to smite for the kill but that's not taking into consideration the possible oppurtunity cost.
Tbh I find the smiting players aspect to be a bit of an unfair choice. Most jungle ganks shouldn't need the summoner spell (albeit it is useful) and smiting the players slows down your clear by a geometric buttload. Especially now that smiting camps gives you extra xp, a really good buff, and speeds up your clear time even further I don't think I would ever really want to smite a player.
And then there's the whole aspect of not wanting to smite before a contested dragon/baron. I actually lost a baron because I smited the enemy jungler instead of the baron :|

For that reason and that reason alone, it really felt like Poacher/trailblazer were the only real choices. The only junglers who can really afford the other two are the junglers that probably don't need smite anyway (ww/nunu). That said, late game the other two are better, but you are sacrificing a ton of early momentum to do that.
Smiting a large monster will "harvest" a bonus effect, based on the monster you Smite. Monsters will only grant the bonus once per spawn, and will sparkle to indicate that the bonus is available. Additionally, killing a monster that has been damaged by Smite will grant 80 experience. The bonus experience doesn't seem to scale based on your level, game time, or monster level.

I've only tried the poacher and stalker ones and they both felt awful.
I like the extra slow on stalker, but it needs to have a bit more range. It's good for starting ganks though.
Poacher's knife is just...meh.
Scavenging Smite is used in conjunction with killing a large monster in the enemy's jungle, the cooldown is reduced by 30 seconds, you gain 20 bonus gold and 175% bonus movement speed that decays over 2 seconds.
The bonus gold and bonus MS should just be a passive on its own. Make smite have an extra bonus.
I haven't played much lol lately, but hey, you should all consider making sure your blizzard accounts (if you have one) are set for beta stuff because Blizzard LoL is kind of cray cray and I need someone that isn't a mouthbreather to play with.
Zed was fun too, and without being super broken.

The GJ way path to no lynching:
That part specifically got reverted - no extra xp for smiting camps. There are a couple erroneous tooltips that shipped. The rest is all valid tho.
I'm pretty sure there's no choice but Ranger's Trailblazer this patch, except warwick (Skirmisher's) and skarner (stalker's).
Edit - nvm, that was lolwiki
