KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.
Ok seriously, though, this lynch should have been done two days ago. What the actual ****? I know it's potentially MYLO and all, but we've talked this through to death. Make a goddamn decision already and stop being part of the ******* apathy problem that has caused so many potential scum lynches to fizzle in this game. I'm ******* tired of that *****.
This one's actually kinda difficult. It's either impatient town or scum trying to push through a mislynch.
My guess is he's town. He seems sincere, and is unlikely to say that they should have lynched him 2 days ago if there wasn't some huge apathy problem
Actually no, I'm changing my mind. He's scum. The part that says "stop being part of the ******* apathy problem that has caused so many potential scum lynches to fizzle in this game" feels like he's trying to push any of the lynches that are on the table. Could be apathetic town, but more likely he's scum.
I'm also considering giving a half-point for hosting them. IDK it's still in the works.

I feel so nerdy that I knew that MoS was scum before I clicked the spoiler.
How does this show a scum mindset, exactly? There's too much 'emotion' in this post, but I find it difficult to tell if it's alignment-indicative or not by discerning a single post.
I felt like he was open to all avenues of lynch. Like he would lynch absolutely ANYONE to get the game going again, which like I said could be apatheic town or scum. I felt the mindset > the emotion.

Also the emotion is WAY over the top, and MoS was trying to get a hammer in Lylo

Unless I'm misremembering, I've counter-voted mostly when I'm town. I don't OMGUS, though, as that's "ur scum bcz u kal mi scum!!1111one"
Yes, countervoting and OMGUS are quite different.
Frankly, if you're town, you should be strongly questioning the alignment of someone who votes you, since scum voting (and mislynching) you would help advance their win con.
EDIT: I'm kinda curious now. I wonder if a player voting a townie is more likely to be scum than a player not voting a townie. I'm guessing it's too close to be statistically significant, but it would be interesting to know.

Another misapplication of OMGUS is when Player A thinks Player B is scum, so Player B tries to elimiate the threat. Not sure what THAT'S called though.

I put a GF scoreboard on the front page, btw. My first post in this thread.

I agree. "OMGUS" is almost as misapplied as that other five-letter acronym.
Is there evidence of that?
FINE! Tommorow I will start a search for the "accusing people of OMGUS is scum" thing.
The other thing might take a while for me to get to.
Edit: Actually... that might ACTUALLY be OMGUS.
